I have 5 HD monitors going during shows with surround sound so you can really feel the pop and locks.

Excellent.  I think IMAX needs to broadcast the O next year.

"Sets with screens of up to 58 inches would have until the start of 2011 to comply with a minimum efficiency standard, with more stringent rules being introduced two years later."

you'll still be able to buy big screen tvs, they'll just have to be energy efficient, like not using almost the same amount of electricity when turned off (but still plugged in) as when turned on.

Yup exactly, he's not banning the TV's, just making them have stricter energy standards which is a good thing.

Fine, but if you pay your hydro bills, what's the problem?  The additional revenue will create greater economies of scale for hydroelectric firms which will in turn result in them being able to deliver hydro more efficiently in the future.  This reminds me of attempts to increase efficiency requirements in cars.  All this does is drives the cost of cars up which gives people an incentive to keep cheaper and more pollutive cars on the road.  I understand the intentions of liberals I just don't understand why they are unable to properly assess cost and benefit.

Perhaps Arnold should deal with the problem of illegal immigration before he jumps on the communist bandwagon.

Also, the alleged gay bashing in my city turned out to be a fraud, at least based on the evidence thus far:

I will suspend judgment until the matter goes to court.

Once everyone moves over to LED TV's we won't have that problem - they are very energy efficient and the prices are dropping all the time. I'm buying mine later on this year.

If you are a stickler about picture quality, the Kuro Elite Plasma is still at the top.  The price needs to come down on the LED screens before they become more common.

As if big screeen TVs are what causes the energy problem.
