Administration officials will appear on fox...
« on: October 18, 2009, 07:30:17 PM »
Apparently the administration is butt hurt about fox's critical coverage of them but have still pledged to appear on the network.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/us_obama_fox_news

"Axelrod said administration officials would appear on the channel."

whats funny is they seem to say that fox "It is not a news organization so much as it has a perspective." from good old never waste a crisis himself...

I really dont see the difference between fox and other stations such as abc, cnn, nbc other then fox is critical of them all of those have opinion based programming as well but also have news shows just like fox does during the day.

whats the difference?

hows that hugo?

and they want to talk about fox being an opinion based news channel, how is that any different from cnn, abc or nbc? yet they go on there programs

so what they are saying is we arent going on fox b/c they are critical of us?

headline news is an actual news outlet.  You hear the top stories of the day, very quickly, with zero analysis.  Every 30 minutes, you hear them again.

Both FOX and MSN are stations which report news their viewers will stay tuned in to, followed with analysis that sits well with their viewers.  that's it.

bro the majority of fox programs during the day are the same way its like a constant loop of news as well

also youre pointing out the exception to the rule not the rule if they have opinion based shows like fox how are they any different?

so basically what the obama administration is saying is that we dont go on fox b/c they are critical of us?

ehhhhhhhhhhhh

They select news based upon what their viewers want.  When Obama wno the Nobel prize, it got VERY little coverage during the day - it was police chases and bomb scares.  I can assure you if Bush had been awarded the same prize for getting saddam, we would have seen a BIT more coverage that day ;)

MSN does and would do the same, however.

Absolutely.  They are VERY harsh.  Does the white house have a respoinsibility to speak to EVERY news channel?  Bush could and did ignore msnbc once polls turned on him with the iraq war.

I wonder if Fox will even air their own show

haven't they skipped covering the POTUS last 2-3 times he was speaking to the nation?

They are getting Fox Network mixed with Fox News....Fox News always covers his news conferences....Fox Network bows to their audience and actually plays the shows that sponsors paid for. The Networks were getting pissed at all his primetime campaign speeches. Barry and his whiny band of idiots want the other networks to distance themselves from barry because Fox is the only organization that calls him and his marxists out. Did Bush say shut down MSNBC. Did Bush officials stop appearing on the Sunday programs? This is why libs are dangerous...this is why I hate them.

They're not obligated to speak to FoxNews, but I think they're just hurting themselves.  Fox is boasting it's viewership is up 20% since last year.  I'm sure there are plenty who watch Fox and voted for Obama so ostracizing them will eventually backfire, IMO.

Besides, being afraid of "tough" questions really doesn't speak well towards Obama's administration.

great point -

they don't carry his press conferences.

he, in turn, doesn't talk to them.

I mean, at least NBC covered Bush's speeches, right?  We have "So you think you can dance" on FOX instead of the president of the USA (and republican response).

We've already established FOX NEWS only gets .8% of Americans, at its absolute peak.

Fox (the channel) gets way more viewers.

now, eat shit.

So the .8% of americans (far-right americans, mind you) matter more to Obama than 30 million swing voters watching primetime TV?  Um, no.

You will be the first to swing on the day of the rope you little ####.

Eat shit and die you dumb liberal obama butt plug

This Wednesday, Obama will give a press conference, marking 100 days in office, at 8 p.m. E.T. But Fox network has become the first to refuse to carry it, opting instead to air Lie to Me as scheduled. Fox News—and the other broadcast and cable news networks—still plan to carry the conference.
