there was one night that FOX played "dance" instead of Obama.  yes, they did his press conference on FOX NEWS, which only .8% of americans watch at its peak, and which you must have cable to watch.

Does anyone dispute this, that FOX's main network blew off Obama when the other majors carried it?

When you want to be class president again, you don't care much about speaking to the political science class (FOX NEWS viewers) who already spend all day bitching about the job you are already doing.

You want to paper the hallway with colorful posters (FOX) convincing the dimwit freshman (swing voters) to vote for you.

Obama knows 98% of FOX voters are gonna vote against him.  But he knows that using his star power on FOX viewers primed to watch some lame mind-numbing drivel like "dance" is gonna help him in polls when getting this healthcare agenda thru.

Anyway, 33 declared the healthcare bill dead months ago.  Why are we still talking about it?

Because the Dems fail on health care means their base never shows up for 2010 or 2012.

I am reading this book right now about Entitlement programs and I seriously want to drink when you read how royally screwed we are.

For any party to push more govt spending right now is utter madness.  When I said it was dead, I had figuered that perhaps and ounce of sanity might prevail, but I am dead wrong on that.  Obama/Pelosi/Reid are like crackheads and will do anything to push for this shit sandwich, regardless of whether it bankrupts the nation even further than we are already screwed.

Do you realize we are almost 75 Trillion in debt with SS & Medicare and dont even have a fraction of the workers or people needed to pay for it?

SS is a complete farce as is Medicare and the govt wants to spend more?  INSANE.

and this wasnt the point of the administration

the administration is attacking FOX NEWS not fox which host local news as well as entertainment tv

the administration says they dont want to go on fox b/c its opinion based, isnt MSNBC, CNN, ABC? LOL so what the administration is really saying is they dont want to go on FOX b/c they are critical of them?

Fox didn't air Obama's 100 day new conference in April.

They didn't cover another news conference in July

They didn't cover his joint address to Congress in Sept.

We know Fox is Fair and Balanced (they say it so it must be true).

Are there similar examples of not covering an address by Bush to the nation?

tony, honestly, you use the words 'jackass' and 'buttplug' so much in your posts, I can't make sense of your posts.

Can you put all the insulting words separate, so your posts will make sense?  Something like...

I'm referring to FOX News, not the FOX Network.

jackass, jackass, jackass, jackass, jackass, jackass, jackass, buttplug, Obamabuttplug, jackass, jackass, jackass, jackass, jackass.

jackass.

Maybe jusy maybe Fox wanted to give the viewers a choice not to watch that staged garbage since it was on a million other channels.

***** really needs to grow up and stop acting like a high school girl.  What a sensitive little punk he is.

One network doesnt like him and all of sudden it becomes his main focus in life.

I see.

So politics had nothing to do with it, huh?  They just "decided" to do this during the Obama era, though.  They played everything Bush did.

fair enough - please list some examples

Former Vice President Dick Cheney and other Bush administration officials sometimes let it be known that they stuck with Fox News for their informational needs. And on Tuesday, Fox News returned the favor, even as the rest of Washington remained gripped by Obama fever.

Late Tuesday afternoon, Fox News was the only major national TV outlet that carried a live telecast of former President Bush's homecoming speech to cheering supporters in Midland, Texas.

"Sometimes what I did wasn't popular," a smiling Bush told the crowd. "But that's OK. I always did what I thought was right."

The rest of the networks, however, did not see the Bush address as news fit to broadcast. At 6:40 p.m. EST, MSNBC was in the middle of "Hardball," with host Chris Matthews and guests batting around the meaning of Obama's swearing-in. CNN was carrying live ongoing coverage of the final moments of the inaugural parade, with the Obamas beaming from the White House reviewing stand.

The broadcast networks likewise did not cover the Bush speech. At least in Los Angeles, both KCBS-Channel 2 and KNBC-Channel 4 had returned to regular syndicated programming ("Judge Judy" and "Deal or No Deal"). KABC-Channel 7 was airing local news.

Some of you are so predictable it's pathetic.

Obama is on TV every fucking day on practically every channel making another bogus speech or answering scripted questions from soft media outlets, or yucking it up on Leno or Letterman or doing Administration infomercials on one of the Network channels to push his agenda on healthcare.

Fox covers all of the state of the unions and every single press conference the chosen one gives is covered on the nightly news. Obama is the most overexposed President in American history ( he has appeared on television more than twice as many times as Bush has in 10 months than Bush did in 8 years). Lets also not forget Obama's silly ass attempts to spin utter horseshit into positive press so as to distract the public from the mess he has made of the presidency-- Here is a very short list which could easily take up an entire page: the cop having beer with that jackass professor from Harvard, Obama and the first ladies embarassing failure to get the Olympic games in Chicago, the scripted townhall meetings, the public school indoctrination videos,  the constant barrage of TV and radio commercials, requesting that people email the white house where there is "fishy criticism" of Obama care, and now having his press secretary and media advisor bash Fox News when his poll numbers are dropping.

When the only network that seriously questions the adminstration is taken to task by the puppets pulling Obama's strings, it is obvious that Obama's handlers are infuriated that they can't completely doiminate, control and undermine the American publics perception of Obama.

And PS-- If FOX News covered the press conference, why is this even an issue?!?! Fox owns Fox News and is availible free nationwide.

That's all you can find?

We're talking about example where POTUS is addressing the nation and all you can find is an example of private citizen Bush giving a "homecoming" speech?

Go back and find an example where Bush addressed a joint session of Congress or addressed the nation directly while in the office of President
