It's easy to criticize the guy, but he always had a very thick upper body.

Allways liked Franco. He allways had that Arnoldesque aura and winner's attitude... even in Pumping Iron you could sense that there are Arnold and Franco and the rest... no one even came close...

Man I loved training outside at World Gym.  Get tan and train.  Nothing like it.  I said it before about Franco.  He would do those bent over rows without a shirt on sometimes and from the back it was incredible.  His lats started at his waist and they just spread out.  He was awesome.  He would give us massages and adjustments to if we needed them.  He was studying to be a chiropractor.  I have trained in easily over 200 gyms in my life all over the place and that gym is easily the most memorable.  For the guys who make fun of me cause I always bring up the past, well this is one of the reasons why I do it.  Cause it was great.

Did you guys make fun of his accent there and there? Franco allways seemed to have that crisp sense of humor...

No actually back then (at least from what I saw and experienced) we all got along and the gym was a place to train not to talk, look around or find faults with people.  Back then we trained for real.  We didn't have the internet so instead of photoshopping or making fakes videos we just proved our strength in person.  Just come to the gym and see it in person.  That is the best way to prove something.
