QFT.  What do we really need?

1. Godfather Ron's blessing.
2. Competitors.  I say a minimum of 5.
3. Judging, done by snappoll vote over a 24 hour period.
4. 240 to build the site.

If 240 Rob will put it together like a $300 website then we get together $250, ask Rob to kick in the last $50, and away we go.  I'll throw in $50.

No prizes or payouts.  If you win then you are Mr. Getbig.  That's the prize.

This was always a very cool idea from the beginning - let the ppl decide.  Sure, you will have people voting by grudge, gimmicks, etc... and the chance that people will use proxies to vote 100 times for themselves.

An alternative might be to give every getbig member with at least 1000 posts a single vote, using a regular getbig poll.

that's a good idea too.  we'd sitll have the all-star voting, but every getbig member would know their vote could be a % difference.

And if some chump decides to enter and it's obvious he's on the gas, getbig members will put his ass in last place and things will end up right...

Haha.  Oh boy... here we go again.

How about since Rob is going to up the site for free, he decides on judging method?  He seems to have a good idea of whatever trickery could be used to skew the results.


Fwiw, I reckon no one with an account should be excluded from competing, even if they have just one post.  No prize money = no cheats.  Getbig is a little sleepy these days and drawing in some new people would be a good thing.  But again, I say we leave the final decision up to the guy who has to up the pics since he'll be regretting doing it pro bono if 2000 people show up.  :D

that's where having a split vote comes in...if you give size more weight (ha) than cuts, vote that way.

how about the Getitonny guy? he could chip in with supplements or some shit. Chris Mason has helped out with some contestants in the past as well, if I'm not mistaken.

What should be the minimum prize money?

1, $500
2, $300
1, $200

plus add in supplements to that, and i don't see why anyone would complain. If we can raise $1000 dollars and get a company or two to shell out some supplements we could have a Mr. getbig competition.
