I was a bit suprised at this move..he will inevitably be bombarded with questions surrounding his past....oh lord I can hear him now.."I'm not here to talk bout the past, I'm just here to help the team"!! The cliches will flow like a raging river! He's pretty much been an outcast for the past 5 years or so.
Baseball, not the players, let the whole steroid situation get waaay outta control. They marketed the long ball to fill the seats and then turned on their superstars. It literally took an act of congress to force MLB to even adopt a steroid policy. The adopted policy is garbage anyways, for it only tests urine samples. HGH is used by most today along with designer steroids that requires a specific test. It's always catch up for testers in ALL sports. I'd guesstimate that well over 50% are on some type of steroid and looks like Jose Canseco was and is the most credible source of it all.
