Uh, as a Pitts fan I wouldn't be talking about anybody being "lucky..."  If God hadn't made that WR drop the ball, your boys would have lost.   ;D

all successful teams have luck, but no team gets by on luck alone

We just can't beat Pittsburgh when the stakes are the highest. Congrats to the Steelers. They should now coast to 12 or 13 wins. They're next 3 games are at home while we'll need to win at least 11 games to make a wildcard.

Our play calling is absolute dogshit. Cam Cameron has got to go. The offense kept going 3 and out in the 2nd half. Apparently, the Ravens felt like 10 points on offense was enough to win the game. Too much pressure on the defense and Ben kept plays alive on 3rd down.

How do you not see #43 at the line of scrimmage and not call timeout or at least have the running back pick up the outside blitz? It's 4 minutes left to play, he's coming hard and fast!

Polamalu shows again why he is the most valuble defensive player in the NFL. He's just a beast.

If Troy is the most Valuable, Suggs is the most Dominant, Jesus h christ. This dude lived in our backfield so much we were gonna start charging him rent. 55 almost single handedly won that game for Ravens. Dude is a beas. On offense i thought Ravens would get the ball to Rice on some arrow routes even check downs...Basically man situations with our linebackers, But it never happened. But this was the best game of the day by far

when will people start mentioning troy among the all time greats?

i think big ben is getting too much credit for the win, nobody is saying how "great"he played if troy doesn't come up with yet another miracle

the games ending was very similar to both 2008 games, ravens were winning and then woodley recovers a big fumble that changes the game, also big ben throwing a late td for the go ahead score, i couldn't believe redman got into the end zone

i don't think that was a bad play call by the ravens (flacco fumble), the pass was working and it's almost impossible to run on the steelers, last game against the ravens troy was sent on a blitz and flacco threw the winning td

Ben is going be throwing off his back foot for the rest of the season with the O-line in it's current condition.

I just don't agree that the better won, to be honest. The Ravens jump out to a 7-0 1st quarter lead on a 92 Yard Drive. We give up a sack in field goal range and piss away another FG chance with stupid penalties. Then our O-coordinator called the shittiest 2nd half game I've ever seen. We completely abandoned the run and kept going 3 and out and our defense was gassed by the 4th quarter.

I give credit to the Steelers defense for winning the game. But the Ravens seriously need to hire a new offensive corrdinator. Cam Cameron is horrendous.

But hey, the Steelers won and it is what it is.

He was going for the forced fumble. Can't blame Suggs for trying to cause a turnover but in hindsight, he should have just put Ben on the ground and sacked him. Would've been better to take the lost yardage than let him throw it away like that.

Patriots = best team in the NFL right now...and while haters continue to hate, they know the truth. Pats can outsore anyone in the NFL and the defense (while giving up a lot of yards) forces a ton of turnovers and continues to gel and improve game by game. The Pats are just like the 2010 Saints, who were a lot like the 07 pats (I'm not saying the 2010 pats . 45 - 3 vs the supposed best team in football is a statement. There are just to many weapons to cover.

As I mentioned earlier in this thread, the Pats will get better as the year goes on, as the youngsters on the D gain confidence. I've seen improvement in every game.

Falcons are a great team, and I only give the Pats the nod as the better team because they play in the AFC and the NFC is proven to be an inferior conference.

At this point im not sure if the AFC>NFC argument holds true.

but i still think the pats are a better than atl. Until atl goes on the road and gets a solid win i think theyre "pretenders" when discussing the elite teams. I still think theyre a good football team, obviously.

Dude chill with the Hater shit... No one is Hating over here. Im a steeler fan we got won 2 in 3 years. We Have the most in NFL History, So i dont hate the PAts. When i look at Falcons i see a team that can Really Run the football and control a game. Defense is solid on every level. they took care of their CB problem  (2nd in the leauge in interceptions) and got Lbers and a decent d line who plays discipline. They throw the ball well.. Roddy white is 2nd leading WR in the leauge and turner is 5th leading rusher in the leauge in Turner. I really dont like the falcons as i dont like the NFC as a whole. But you cant point to a huge hole in their team that would cost them. Pats are really good and can really score. They are right behind At for best team in leauge. But if youre giving up 390 yards a game and are 2nd to last in defense...i cant call you the best team in the nfl.

I was not talking about you.

I can call them the best in the NFL, because while they bend, they give up a ton of yards and they create a shitload of turnovers, and score so many points its all moot. As mentioned, they are youngm and they continute to improve.

I give the pats the edge after DESTROYING the former best team in the NFL.

Dont get me wrong, the Falcons are clearly a top team.

When the Pats play well, I dont see how they can be defended. There is always no answer for at least 2 players. Whether it be the wr's, the te's or the backs out of the backfield. You saw this last night. the jets are pretty much the only team in the NFL that can play man because of their corners, and even last night, they got smoked when the LB's were forced to cover the te's and the slot.

really, who had the jets #1 before last night?

and if you had the jets #1..it was simply going off wins and losses.

i dont think you look at the jets and say they were head and shoulder above everyone in the league.

Still a good, much needed win for the pats.

without looking at the stats i can tell you right now with 99% certainty that the jets are no where near resembling that of a complete team.

The defense is a shell of its former self.

Patriots:

Passing yds: 11th
Rush yds: 13th
Opp passing yds: 31st
Opp rushing yds: 19th

Falcons:

Passing yds: 14th
Rush yds: 9th
Opp passing yds: 26th
Opp rushing yds: 8th

How are they better when the Falcons are significantly better in 3 of 4 major statistical categories and don't get blown out by teams like the Browns?  ::)

New England loses 37-14 to the Browns while Atlanta's two losses are to the Steelers in week 1 (in overtime, nonetheless) and Philly a few weeks ago (another top 10 team).

Oh, and Atlanta beat Cleveland 20-10.  :)

Watching the Pats get annihilated by Cleveland and almost lose to Indy (Peyton could've easily won that game) says more than blowing out the Jets in a rivalry game. Teams always play above their capabilities in rivalry games and last night was no exception. The Pats defense isn't anywhere near good enough to handle a team of Atlanta's caliber.
