Today's vote (and 2010) are old people showing up - not young people.

Still, Obama is sitting at 50% and far more people call themselves dems than repubs.

IMO, until the R's get a true party leader, they don't pull in those moderates.  The perceived leaders of the party are very polarizing.

I've said all along - I want R's to run the best candidate in 2012.  And youre right, history does show that a far-right person should win in 2012, ala 1980.

In the deep blue states like where I live, absolutely.  And if they are conservative, yes. just so nothing gets done. 

Westchester county where i live, IS THE HIGHEST TAXED COUNTY IN THE NATION.  We have had dem control over everything for years and they have utterly screwed us taxpayers royally. 

Part of the reason I am so partisan against most dems and libs is because of what I deal with where I live in NY.
