Does anyone here think it was fair or right to invade Iraq and Afghanistan? If 18 American clown rednecks from a small cell not related to the government flew planes in to Chinese buildings, you would then feel it fair and ok if a Chinese airstrike on your house killed your family? In situations like this you have to think of the cause that set the current act in to motion and that cause is like an elephant in the room. You cant be all "fuck yeah America" when your country is blowing to pieces Iraqis then be surprised when this happens.

The Taliban was in bed with Al Qaeda, giving them money, weapons and allowing them free reign to move about their country as they deemed fit. They were just as guilty as the 19 who flew the planes. They were a government that sponsored and funded terrorism. That's why they were invaded. Iraq is a different story.

The USA gave money to the IRA, they would fundraise in Boston and Mcdonalds America gave money too, for years, and the IRA proceeded to bomb London and mainland Britain, would you have felt it fair if Britain bombed your house and overthrew your government? The fact is nobody gave a fuck in the USA that the IRA were bombing mainland Britain.

You guys are all get your panties in a ruffle... nobody comes on here and cries when 10,000 die in India in a flood or 5,000 people die in the Phillipines in a typhoon/hurricane, but 10 U.S soldiers die because of some wannabe Columbine shit and everyone goes nuts over it...  I wasn't even saying anything neg. or anti-American geeeeze..

it's life, people die.

I agree it's sad and tragic, but it's not like 10,000 people died or soemthing.

Oh, come on! You think that would qualify as a tragedy?

I could care less about 10k people dying in India...I'm an American. I would expect Americans to care because they're fellow countrymen and soldiers. If I was in India I'd care about the 10k.

it was america that funded, trained and supplied arms to that same terrorist organisation to fight russia during the cold war.

america made it's bed..................... ......

don't get me wrong though this is sad, all killing is sad and not needed, but you have to look at yourselves and see that you are not better than others nor immune to consequences.

as has been said before karmas a bitch.

Ah..this guy was afraid to deploy. This has very little to do with arming the Muji's. And yeah..we are better. Let me know when Russia or China send aid, ships, troops to help earthquake and flood victims. U can go to Pakistan now and see their jingle trucks covered with stylized pics of US Chinook helicopters that came to their aid in 05. This has nothing to do with any of that.

First of all dickface, Afghanistan was not a "terrorist" organization when it was fighting the Russians. They were a bunch of ragtag farmers and dirt merchants with pitchforks fighting against the worlds most fearsome military at the time ( second to the US).

At the time, Communism was the greatest threat to our national security as we were still fighting the cold war. So we gave the Afghans the means to fight the Russians. The Afghans won. It was the beginning of the end of Communist Russia and the nuclear arms race.

You obviously need a refresher in world history. For the dumbed down version, watch "Charlie Wilson's War". Tom Hanks is in it!

Moving along what the fuck does the Afghan war have to do with 911 in terms of the U.S. paying the price for Karma? We helped the Afghans defeat the Russians. The Afghans then decided to become whackjob radicals after we left the country. I fail to see the correlation between us helping a piss poor country with no military defeat a superpower and America "making its bed."

So, we help another country win a war. Then that country falls into disarray and attacks us. Geesh your correct. America really had it coming.  ::)

Its a joke really, like I said before the USA funded the IRA, the british didnt attack you for it.We blamed the nationality of the actual persons directly commiting the acts.Of the Hijackers 15 were from Saudi Arabia, two from the United Arab Emirates, one from Egypt and one from Lebanon.Seems like you should have had major beef with the Saudis too right?Oh no thats right they have money and oil.

the Afghans were a bunch of farmers ? no it was a sovereign country.

the Afghans beat Russia ? no Russia gave up as they got nowhere fast - ring any bells ace ? no? turn on the news.

the Afghan war was the beginning of the end of the cold war ? no it had no baring whatsoever in the cold war ending, or no more than Vietnam was. capitalism has had some success though. If you are up to date on current affairs however you will see the 'cold war' is not completely dead. just a few months ago America backed down from Russia over the missile defense system, Russia have been opposing sanctions against north Korea and Iran also. Along with opposing EU expantion into its former territories.

try educating yourself tex before commenting on things you know nothing about - unfortunately that has been Americas problem for quite some time.

You can think something is wrong or think a view is hypocritical without having any emotion attached to it.
