He is talented as hell. Sadly, I see a future of playing to rooms filled with male musicians, Ibanez endorsements, bad studio band projects on the Shrapnel label, and possibly marrying a Japanese or Brazilian woman that hasn't let go of the 90s. And a signature Dimarzio pickup.

haha, epic guitar speak. those of us who get it realize how fucking hilarious that is! cheers! dimarzio pup will be a dimebucker for sure.

in all honesty though, there's one guy like this in every class in every high school in america.  my buddy was/is a crazy shredder like that, went to berkley school of music, majored in jazz composition, and is really really really fucking good.  he was a backup guitarist for the blue man group in case their main guy went down. he now plays on a cruise ship.

there's a reason that derek trucks is the only child guitar prodigy to make it big time.  so many of those child guitar prodigies spend so much time learning songs that they never learn their own style and get passd up by guys who have a distinct tone, style and sound.  this guy sounds no different than a million other shredders i've heard.  he's fucking good, no doubt, but he's a dime a dozen when it comes to guys over 20.

Cool. But not a lick in sight. Groink had a great music point about all the awesome guitar machinery in-point, and yet not a person in the room is tapping their toes. Mind vs heart, I guess.

The kid's got monster chops, definitely, but as another member says, there's a guy like this in every city.

He has the facility, but the question is, what does he wanna say with it? A guy like Paul Gilbert could take it somewhere because when he was doing it, VERY few could even comprehend what planet he was from.

In 2012, the quest for this kind of insane chops is over. With cats like Malmsteen, Gilbert, Vai, etc. all over YouTube, someone with patience, time and a certain level of mechanical ability can cop their licks/lines/shreds.

Yeah, a guy like this can make a go of it backing someone or doing studio work, or selling to a select group of guitar nerds, but for any appreciable degree of success, he needs ... songs.
