I watched Chef! one day, and the chef was berating and putting down an employee, he took at least 3 minutes doing a putdown, that caused it to lose it's effectiveness. Short, sweet, to the point, witty, yet hits the mark is where it's at. I've notice the Brits don't get this. Save the two paragraph insults for a movie, not a 30 min show.
