yea, it must be some thing honoring both sides in the war, such as happens often with the civil war type events. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Those looked liked British uniforms.

It always brightens me up to see those events.

As you can imagine, they dont have them often or at all in NYC.

They have them all the time down in Gettysburg. You're not to far away, should stop down sometime.

I already had mine for lunch. Much thanks to Applebees for doing this. The one I went to was overwhelmed and the poor staff was having a hard time keeping up. When they tried to apologize to me for the long wait, I just told them that any vets in the room know all about long lines and waiting. The guys around me just laughed. Everybody was way cool. And they didn't short change on the portions!

Thank you. I called my mom to thank her for the sacrifices that she endured while my dad was away at war or stationed out of the country. Man, I sure do miss him. I still wish that he would have given me his blessing to serve in the Corps like he did. My dad was a man's man and my hero.
