stop making up bullshit excuses for Layne.  "it's the grip"  ::)

I'm with Sev on this.  either he is one of the strongest pullers for his weight the world has ever seen, or he is on something
the same could be said for you? but in regards to size. you are one of the biggest naturals i've seen.

Layne uses a tecnique where he wraps his fighers over his thumb making it work like a strap.

I've tried it. hurts like a bitch.

Seriously, no one on here is taking into consideration the bands. Has anyone on here ever used bands besides some of the guys on the powerlifting board?

He's using 2 medium bands, 115lbs each. That's my point

Even with the bands he's stronger than a silverback gorilla.

Why doesn't he compete in tested events? anyone?

He's one of the strongest deadlifters pound for pound you will ever see and he is not natural...give it up already.

The day he competes in a "real" tested meet i will never post about him again. He holds records in "open" federations that do not enforce any sort of strict drug testing. use your head on that one.

Still i cannot take anything away from the guy, he is one of the most gifted strength athletes on the scene right now, i just wish he would drop the whole "natural" thing.

I don't know a lot about the guy but that kind of goes against his very, VERY vocal anti-drug natural stance......doesn't it?

You would think he'd happily piss in a cup right onstage at the meet the way he carries on.

I didn't know exactly how much assistance they gave. 230 lbs is a lot so i'm not quite as awestruck as i was, but he's still a strong ass dude

Cant speak for what Laynes status is but I have a friend who is natural NO QUESTION and hes pulled 700. So its possible. Hes 100x thicker than Layne though and looks as strong as he lifts. Some of his lifts 635 squat x 4, 315 bench x 20, 150 incline db x 7, 495 front squat x 3. Hes around 25, sickest genetics ever. Commence with the calling of bullshit on this 3...2....1
