The Men Who Stare at Goats
« on: November 11, 2009, 04:45:16 AM »
Ok, this movie is fascinating and yet annoying for me for many reasons.  You might not know this, but in some ways, bizarrely, this is actually a half true story.  Yup they actually had people doing crazy shit like this and more.  I won't say anything more, but interested in the opinion of others like HH6.

This movie dances around the topic of MIND CONTROL and TELEPATHY...something the US military has been trying to develop for years. I think they call it Neurotronics and there is another name which escapse me now. But the whole idea is to be able to telepathically control the mind or thoughts of someone else. This movie starring at the goats only slightly implies that the real goal is to make the goat believe he is dead until he falls over and actually dies. Thisis done by staring or focusing ones thoughts INTO the mind of the goats mind.

You may think of it as garbage, but the US military has invested MILLIONS in trying to perfect it. The idea of being able to sit in a room and mentally travel to another room, building, street, city, state whatever is something they have desired for a long time. They used to call it clairvoiance...and it involved a sort of hypnotic state of mind and the mental effort of leaving ones body. They probably got the idea from people who have had outer body experiences in near death situations... and the military hope/wishes to reproduce that event voluntarily.

The movie THE FOURTH KIND explores this somewhat. They examine people who claimed to have been abducted and through psychiatry, mental torture, physical torture, hypnotism etc these examiners try to extract any data they feel these abductees have in their minds from the "aliens". Many of these people never recovered from the mental torture inflicted on them in the MONTAUK PROJECT...

remote viewing isn't garbage. It's very real. I've done it in the past.

Its a hit or miss thing. can't actively control it. comes and goes occassionally during moments of lucid dreaming, ...but it is VERY REAL. Someone with the ability to consciously induce the state at will, could go to and see some remarkable things.

Actually, I can. I can see what everyone is doing right now.
Infact, right now, I see YOU reading this message on your computer. lmao.  ;D

No Sampson, I cannot see what you are doing now. I don't do it anymore.
I had an extremely terrifying incident and decided that was one toy I didn't need to be playing with.
It's been many many MANY years since I have even experimented with  it or out of body experiences.

I don't know about controlling other peoples minds, but don't medical device makers also work in this area?  Trying to harness peoples brain waves to control objects for people who are disabled?

Sadly many things that would have had great medical and scientific uses fall into the hands of government which looks to see if there is a nefarious use to it. While a mind to machine link could have all manner of benefit to the crippled, amputee etc... the military would look to make robot soldiers in order to be able to kill more people in wars while the real soldier sits in a room hooked up to a device that would animate these soldiers to do their will. Sort of like the movie SURROGATES.

There some show on Discovery Channel a few yrs ago about how the government used Remote viewing. They did a experiment on people locating a  person in a house. Or dreaming the the details of the house. Many were quite accurate. These were actual former remote viewers doing a exercise.
