I starting carrying the Body Solid this year.  Very large selection of equipment and very durable.

As far as calf machines, I carry a home product and commerical one.  There's one more model available as well

Does your product come with "everything" in the picture?

I wouldn't mind getting one of those puppies...

Can't really judge from it's picture altrough the knee pads and it's frame don't look solid. I has olympic plate support, I like that. I would try it first before buying it.

The more expensive ones have a more padding and is ergonomically dressed up more since its going into a commerical setting where the equipment has to be appealing to the clientele where the home version is just a plain old rudamentary design.  The home version has a 10 year warranty.

The only bench I once bought is this Weider bench, which is far from flexible and it's paddings are too thin and aren't fixed. When I had room for even a calve machine I would buy the 2th one.

Body Solid is considered a "good" brand.  Pretty good value too.  A couple of things to think about.  If you have pretty decent calf strength and load it up, the thinner pads will cause it to be uncomfortable on the top of your thighs.  Also, I ALWAYS recommend trying a calf raise out first.....they can have a different feel depending on brand, that some people might not like.

If you have the time, you might want to check out craigslist in your area and or keep your ears out if a gym is closing.  commercial models are FAR superior.

this was gonna be my next question.  i bought some stuff , forget what it's called (i'm at work now), but the bench is kinda shit.  as soon as i sit my fat ass on it , it deflates and i can feel the bolts underneath.  i'm looking for gym quality stuff, i.e. the padding doesn't deflate.  with gym equipment, the seats are rock solid, yet comfy.

i have a feeling i'll have to dish out more than $400 for one of those calf raises, but i definitely need a seated one cuz my basement ceiling's low.

Yeah.  I sold a high-end home version by Hoist, and before that Nautilus.  It was very good stuff, but when the bigger guys bought one, I had them load it up and try it out before taking it home.  Going the used route is a great way to get a commercial one, because they can be very expensive.

If you have any specifics or anything, shoot me a pm, I'll see what I can do to help.

Consider this machine, perfect for leg presses/squats and donkey raises with some wood under your toes.

Can't really tell you about the piece but as a company, body solid is top notch with their warranty. Buddy has 3 or 4 pcs of equipment, had one or 2 flaws in the seats of 2 pcs of equipment; stitching ripping or something, they sent hm replacement pads 24 hrs later...

I culled some timber out of a building site dumpster and made a little platform.  Can't see buying a machine for calves.  On the other hand my calves suck, so...

Andy's lower on specific machines but not not everything.  And I'll match anything Andy's got and most other BodySolid dealers prob would too.  With the economy these days, its a good time to wheel and deal so do a search of different companies, not just one.
