Remember a few months back where the mindless automotants running our intelligence agencies claimed that right wing extremists were the number one threat to our nations national security?

I dunno-- Since a single 75+ year old man went on a shooting rampage at the holocaust museum, I haven't seen or heard a thing about "crazy white men" trying to terrorize the country.

However, I just happened to notice that an insane Muslim soldier who was on the intelligence communities radar murdered 13 people and injured another 26 in the name of Allah. Maybe the CIA was too busy monitoring Jeff Foxworthy and Larry the Cable guy to pay attention?

Now, on the heels of that massacare the Obama administration refuses to call it like it is -- A terrorist act. Instead, we are going to fly the 911 masterminds into manhattan for what will turn out to be a 5 year circus trial/ desecration of the twin towers for all the world to see.

Great point.  I'm seeing killers come from all races and religious backgrounds.

I think that homeland memo about white guys stockpiling guns is important.  Hell, if it's 2003 and Code Pink pansies were stockpiling a million rounds of ammo and all the rifles they could buy, and wearing rifles to Dubya rallies, and screaming about revolution, you bet your ass it'd be a big fccking deal- rightfully so.

ANY group that stockpiles a lot of weapons, screams about 1776 and patriot/tyranny/revolution, etc, warrants a little caution and attention.  I don't care what their political beliefs are.  It just takes 1 of these nuts to snap, ya know?

I believe in RKBA.  But I do worry about some nutjob who snaps some day.  And if the govt can keep tabs on him to perhaps catch it BEFORE it happens, good.  better tabs on the holocaust museum shooter, the Ft hood shooter, or the Penn shooter could have stopped it.

A few survivalists hanging out in the woods of Idaho, or several dozen world wide groups engaging in terrorist acts across the globe while actively seeking nuclear weapons with the backing of governments, Saudi oil billionares and at the very least passive approval from one billion plus believers of the same ideology?

We both are in NYC.  I am trying to explain to 240 why this asshole move re: the terrorists moving to NYC is so rife with problems, but he thinks is a no risk slam dunk for Dear Leader.

Good initial post George.  Crime comes from all people's and don't always fit the profile, but there is a repetitive theme with muslim radicals...they are clearly a major threat and we must not ignore it in the face of trying to not offend others.  Let the others condemn the radicals along with the rest of us.  Unlike the UK, we must make it clear that radical muslims and shaira law are NOT welcomed here.

33386- good to be back. I'm always around but I dont post these days unless something really sets me off and the prospect of this trial happening in my backyard makes me absolutely ill.

I took a class in National Security from a federal judge where FBI agents, terrorist defense attorneys and other jurists in the know provided a wealth of information on the civilian versus military trial debate. It's pragmatism versus idealism-- the classic Conservative against liberal battle.

I know what I am talking about and it makes me sick that this president wants to turn fighting terrorism into an opportunistic media campaign to highlight his high ideals and benevolence while running the CIA and the previous administration through the mud.
