For those of you who never go off, what is your cruising dose?  How long have you been on?

When i stayed on for 3.5 years i would cruise on 250mg a week for about 3 months during the offseason each year.

250mg a week should be plenty as long as you keep your diet and training in line and do not slack off like most guys do.

I never did, but this was before HCG was a very common thing. Most sources didn't start to carry it until the last 3-5 years or so.

I did use HCG the last 6 weeks of my final cycle 2 years ago when i decided to come off for good. My natural test took about 8 months to fully kick back in and today my test levels are within normal range. i lost the majority of my size in the last 2 years, but even though i barely train seriously at all these days, my strength is still what i would consider "good".

So you'll never touch the sauce again? What made you decide to give it up? And did u get ur sperm count checked?

I doubt it, but i might get back into it one day.

I gave up AAS due to having accumulated too many injuries over the years power lifting and i was also in the final semester of my MBA so it was hard for me to train and eat like i used to. Once i got my MBA finished i got laid off from work shortly after and 3 months later decided to partner up and start a small Engineering company with 2 guys i had worked with over the years. Since the start of the company i have almost zero time to myself and i am lucky to see the inside of a gym 2-3 days a week. Mainly my priorities changed and after 7 years of using AAS and pounding the heavy weights i just moved on to other things in life. i still eat well and lift when i can, i still feel the desire to train hard and heavy but for now I'm focused on my business. When i first came off AAS in 2007 i figured it was just going to be temporary and i was going to give my body 6 months or so to rest and recover, but when i got laid off things changed quickly and I've been working like crazy to get this business going ever since.

The last time i had my sperm count checked it was really low and they were not swimming very well. this was about 1.5 years ago and my Doc said my sperm count should return to normal in time. i was lucky enough to have a family relative Doctor that knew exactly what i was doing and he was actually making a medical journal off my progress. i have all the journal entries over a 3 year time period documented and my Doctor was trying to use them to help future Endo students but that got shot down pretty quickly by the State Board. i plan on releasing the journal one day just to help people out, but i have to find a way to remove all my personal and insurance info off of it before it is released for obvious reasons.

I honestly would like to go back and do it all again, i don't think i will ever lose that drive to train hard and heavy, but for now i have too many other things in life i need to make priority. Right now i still train hard but i focus more on quality and staying injury free. I'm happy with the way i look and feel so i am content with keeping things the way they are. i haven't made any gains in a while, but i have managed to lose a large amount of fat and stay in shape year round, which is all i really care about. The hardest thing is putting on shirts/pants that were tight years ago and they are almost too big for me today...lol...I'm about 195ish right now and at least 7-8% BF so i really cannot complain, but when i look at some old pictures from years ago it is a night and day difference between then and now.

But the bottom line is i feel great and i am very healthy, i do not have a single problem from AAS use besides having a rug of hair on my back and about 10 nagging injuries that flare up from time to time.

So did your sperm count return to normal after awhile? Reason I ask is because becoming sterile is my biggest fear of aas use...195 pounds at 7 percent bodyfat is real good for being all natural..do you feel the aas help change ur body for the better even after coming off?

I haven't checked it since then, so i have no idea.

I can say that i have never heard of anyone becoming sterile due to using AAS. i know at least 5 guys who cannot have kids and have never lifted a weight or used AAS in their lifetime. i also know 3 men who have used AAS for over 10 years straight and both of them have kids. i do believe AAS can lower your sperm count and can slow down how fast they swim, but as far as becoming sterile i have never seen any evidence of this happening. there are several pro bodybuilders and power lifters who have been using for over 15-20 years and they have kids. I'm not saying it cannot happen, but i have never seen one case where it did. i remember getting a sperm count done while i was on 1500mg of test and my sperm count was off the charts, but they swam like bricks in a lake.

I will say that using AAS over many years changed the entire structure of my muscles. there is no way on earth i would have made it to where i am "now" without steroids. i am still bigger than all the naturals i know and stronger as well. this is all speculation of course, but when i compare myself to friends I've known for 10+ years who have trained drug free, i am still more muscular and stronger. then again, genetics could be a factor because i was strong from a very young age due to all the farm work i grew up doing. i don't think you lose "everything" when you come off AAS, i just think you lose about 80% of what you "had". just my opinion though.

A close friend of mine up in NY used to megadose and actually had a chance at getting a Pro card back in the mid 2000's. this guy was using over 3000mg of test and many many other things including slin/GH etc. for over 10 years straight. about 3 years ago he quit using AAS and stopped working out completely. i don't think he has even touched a weight since he came off. he now hates bodybuilding and everything to do with it, he feels like he lost his shot at the pro card twice due to politics, which i believe. i traveled up to NY earlier this year for vacation and met him for dinner with our girlfriends. to my surprise he was still massive and his forearms looked like he was still on something! he is Italian and has great genetics but the muscle he had retained on his frame was massive, all those years of lifting and using AAS must have helped him stay at that point. in fact he looked more muscular than 90% of the guys i see at my gym on a weekly basis.

Who really knows, there are so many variables that come into play it is hard to say for certain. but "my opinion" is that the level of muscularity i have today has everything to due with the AAS i used in the past.

I'm a bit long winded today...lol

Good to hear about the business OL glad it is working out for you.  Sounds like you have your head on straight and your priority's in order.  The weights will always be there, get yourself set and yes maybe if you feel the desire and find your self in the right place for it down the road then go for it.  :)

Ive never taken GH and dont really know too much about it. How long does it take to i guess "start working" or until you really notice "gains" from it. Someone said it takes like 6 months, then someone i knew who was taking gh said it only took a few weeks for him to notice gains. How long is a cycle of gh run for??

6 months is a very realistic timeframe to run gh......you will notice some fat loss and maybe some fullness but with gh its little effects that add up and accumulate over time

thats why you need the 6months AT LEAST....but if you are a begginer just stick with AAS , you can get 225 ripped easily with the right diet, training, and anabolics alone
