back to the future, a 4 star movie that won many prestigious awards is "cheesy" and commando isn't ??and yes everybody likes that movie except you, did you actually watch it from beginning to end?E
Commando is an action film BTTF is a kids film Everybody ? um no. The standards from that era were hardly high , giving somthing four stars from that day and age hardly = a great movie..
it's pg 13, probably because a mom putting the moves on her son doesn't qualify as a "kids film"and you're right the standards are so much higher today with all the remakes, i guess godfather wasn't a good movie either since it was made about 13 years before back to the future E

Honestly, how can you not like that movie? It might be a family movie, but its not a kid's movie. I still thinks it highly entertaining.

Id rate ET as a great movie and BTTF is nowhere near in the same ball park.How does a movie get a four star rating?All those movies I mentioned received awards that year be it through individual or whole movie.Of course you will get sequels when a film "grsos's" well , how many academy awards did it win?Cocoon had a sequel , The Jewel of the nile was a Sequel ,MM3 was also yet you just laughed at that so what point are you trying to make with this train of thought.It also spawned a hit for Tina Turner..The Power Of Love For Huey Louis wasnt on the same level
MM3 had two previuos films.Diddnt you just sayStop shooting yourself in the foot. All I said was I diddnt think BTTF was a great film and better came out in that year.

Bttf also spawned cartoons and started convos in mainstream media about time travel. I'd say many of todays astro-physicists count it as a movie that help them choose that.
