John Kerry’s daughter arrested for DUI

One of Sen. John Kerry’s daughters was arrested early this morning for driving under the influence, Los Angeles police confirmed.

Alexandra Forbes Kerry was pulled over in Hollywood for a traffic violation and was arrested for DUI at 12:40 a.m., Officer Sara Faden said.

Kerry posted $5,000 bail at 5:20 a.m.

Faden would not confirm Kerry’s blood alcohol level or what substance the senator’s daughter was under the influence of.

DUI can happen to anybody if you drink. most of us here can say their is a time they probably should not have driven

Who cares about John Kerrys kid--

Everyone makes mistakes, nobody is perfect-- Scalia's kid has a dui for god sakes. GW Bush's daughter got in trouble, as did Al Gores son ( several times), the Kennedys are a walking police blotter, Palins kid got knocked up and on and on.

I think that people and the press in particular get off on this kind of stuff because its a politicians kid.

did she drive "fucked up" did she get "that drunk?" I don't know her weight but if she tested under .08 that's probably between 1 and 2 drinks. if she tested legal, what's the deal? I'm not getting it. your post makes it sound like she drank a fifth. if she was over the limit, fine.

Here... It takes a LOT to get arrested for DUI - people beat that shit here all the time by stumbling across a line, then the cop will make them call a friend or walk cause they ain't driving.

that shit happens to teachers and govt workers here now and then, I know people are human. but shit... don't get on the roads with the rest of us if you aren't capable of driving that vehicle correctly.

She tested at .06, below the legal limit, she shouldn't have been arrested. MADD has made DUI's into one of the highest costing crimes in the US.

It's unfortunate that what appears to be a very wrongful arrest will most likely be used as a weapon against both her and her father. She did not choose her parents, and she herself is not a politician. I mean, it's not like she actually got wasted and smashed her vehicle, or slurred her speech on the podium, or delivered a drunken speech at a wedding she attended after having supposedly sworn off alcohol years prior... as certain former high ranking politicians have been known to do. Families should be off limits, ...especially when they're innocent.
