This asshole I know from high school and I have been arguing the past week.  He says anyone who takes steroids has low self esteem, I told him that people use it to get past natural limits and to be better then their genetics allow them to.  Obviously there are people that have low self esteem that juice but the fuck says all people do and the shrinks and the FDA condfirmed it ::)...What are your thoughts?

Are you that guy from MuscleMemory? He's believes all the government says  ::)

Taking steroids to pass your "natural limits".
What a sorry cop out.  Guaranteed, most on, barely have a solid diet naturally for a few years.
Nothing wrong with someone taking drugs to exist in a gym, it's just sad.
Everything that lifting should not be about, but is...due to the overflow of pussies out there who just can't cut it on their own.
"All the pro bb take drugs, so I should too to be hardcore." hahah
Heavy drug use is anything buy hardcore, it's a joke.  You ingest a bunch of drugs, sure thing, you WILL grow.
The lack of heart in gyms today, is simply disgusting.
 ;)
Off to witness more pretending fools at the "mecca" of lifting, Gold's Gym.  9 of 10 on drugs, have no business messing with them.  If you're not a pro athlete, simply stop.  You make yourself look foolish.  Grown men pounding needles to get that extra few pounds of muscle for the BIG local show. ::)
I workout, and this is my opinion...imagine what most people think of these clowns.

ahh what a refresher the local steroid hater/user :)

It's amazing how much PED use/abuse gets in your head. You need to chill out. Maybe a little bit of test will level things out. :D

Must be a good feeling to know you can't achieve even a decent physique on your own.  I honestly don't understand why you'd even bother working out.
I have more respect for the fatbody on the treadmill who loses 10lbs on his own, than the juicehead who weighs 260lbs.
One relies on himself, the other drugs....winner...fatbod y. :)

I can achieve a decent body without drugs. and i did. i transformed a obscenely obese body into a lean and muscular athletic body. now i still workout just as hard, in fatc i workout harder. and im just as dedicated to my training and diet. i do get to eat more food now,but thats only because i have more muscle.  i rely on myself and on drugs. i would look good without them, i just wouldnt look as good as i do now.

Congratulations, you're better than most drug users out there.  Still, I see no point in the drug game.  More money, gains that you lose, even worse...bullshitting people who say "you're on steroids".  I can't imagine having to lie to every person I talk with lifting about.  What a fraud.
I'd rather take nothing and then laugh in the face of someone who implies I'm on drugs.  You can then reply, "No, my genetics are just better and I actually work at the gym."  This usually leaves them dumbfounded, but they'll usually laugh about it, though they realize they were owned.
With being on sauce, you have to portray a lie to people...why not do it yourself....let alone the health risks/small balls/roid bloat.
It's just pointless.

haha, Close.
You couldn't pay me to go to a dance club.  If you don't dance, drink, or do drugs...there really is no point.
I'm sure I'd be disgusted there too at the number of attention whores parading around for drunk guys, who give them the impression they're more attractive then they are.  Much like the scene from "Swingers".
I'd rather do some blow and look at internet porn.  Same result.  Bust a nut and feel like garbage the next day.

the weird part is that people tend to develop some insecurities as they progress in this ''sport'', i mean maybe low self esteem got them to pick up weights in the first place but once they get big and start getting compliments it's usually counter productive, it's harder to lose something than not having it at all.......

Poor Arnold. I always suspected that deep down he had low self-esteem and lacked self-confidence. What a loser.

As much I hate to admit it , yes he is absolutely right

we bodybuild with roids because of issues within ourselves

lately I found joy in bodybuilding naturally , eating well and doing some cardio for my health.

pretty much anyone in bb'ing, regardless of whether being natural or not, probably has some degree of self esteem issues. Obviosuly would vary from person to person, but one of the appealing aspects of a bigger physique is an increase in confidence.
No doubt about it...

um...most people in life have some self-esteem issues, bodybuilders just do something about it.

I started lifting because i liked training in general but it does get obsessive and trying to improve yourself constantly has to come down to something.

Good point - I think I'll use that one next time a non-bodybuilder asks if I'm insecure (which I'm not  :P )
