Bay Area Gun Owners Wear Weapons Plain View
« on: November 19, 2009, 03:48:27 PM »

This pretty much says it all:

Gun owner (David Jullian) - "It will increase the level of politeness" people aren't likely to yell obscenities at you or maybe be rude if they think you are armed"

Reporter (Lloyd LaCuesta) - "That's sort of living out of fear that you're going to pull the gun out and shoot me"

Gun owner (David Jullian) - "I don't know about fear but maybe respect"

I like how they show the police memorial in an attempt to some how link these guys to killing cops.  ::)

The officer at the end said that he didn't understand the point of it, what's there to understand?  It's a constitutional right, that's all there is to it.  These guys aren't going out causing problems or attacking people, they do it to protect themselves which is perfectly fine in my view.

They can't be loaded.... WTF?

I love these guys, and I wish I had the gumption to occasionally exercise my right to open carry.  (Too much trouble here)

GOOD MEN!!!

I am not fearful of people who open carry.  In NYC, its the people with their hands in their pockets in the big hoodies I worry about.

I got in an argument with someone over this one time.  The moron didn't think it was legal to open carry in our state.

WTF....

I didn't watch the vid, but it seems to me he has a lil esteem issue, the whole aren't likely to yell obcenities at you or be rude to you? Who the fuck cares. Increase the level of politeness, well, if everybody was carrying loaded weapons maybe, like the Samurai did, because they had a code of conduct. The wild west, where everybody had a gun, didn't have a code of conduct.

I'm all for these guys carrying, I just think someone want to enforce the "Hey be nice to me, I'm carrying a gun" angle.

I like the semi-concealed carry.

You know, walk around with a buzzed haircut, focused look on your face, huge holster style fanny pack with the /draw/ flap hanging, a Glock or H&K t-shirt, and a toothpick to top it all off.

You're perfectly legal and everyone in that mofo knows you have 50 rounds of 45 caliber on you!

You're talking about the mall ninja!!!  Those guys are a rare breed indeed, many of them have spent too much time playing COD4 or airsoft.  They also consider themselves "operators".  ;D

I wish I was allowed to open carry...just concealed for us.  At least I can carry.  People need to man up and quit getting scared when they see a gun.
