I belong to a guitar forum and there is a thread about meeting "famous" bands/people. Pretty cool stories but this one broke me.
I had the pleasure of sitting down and chatting with Robert Plant after a show in Buffalo on the "Fate Of Nations Tour". He was so down to earth and really a nice guy. Then after a few drinks and about a hour of chatting about everything from his future plans with Jimmy Page to his kids and past rumors of excess of LZ. I mentioned to him that I write songs and am myself a singer and also mentioned that it would be a dream of mine to be able to sit down and write a song with him. That's were it turned weird, he said that the night was getting long and they were all going up to the rooms and asked if I wanted to come along. Remembering that I got a ride from someone else and had no way home after wards, I mentioned this to him and his response was. This is were I got a little uncomfortable, he said "You can stay in my room for the night". I thought wow, imagine that until I asked was there two beds or a pull out. He told me "no, no you can sleep in the same bed with me" then looked sorta strange and added "we don't have to do anything you don't want to do". That's when I told him thank you very much for the inventation but....... After thinking about that for a while he could of referred to many things but I really don't know maybe I'm just homophobic? Can come to a conclusion and tell me?
