It looks dark and gritty = good
but
When I saw the one guy shooting the machine gun from the hip I knew its going to be bullshit.

I grew up on JCVD movies. Shame he got into drugs. He really should have stuck to making fighting movies, in his prime. Lionheart, Bloodsport, The Quest, Kickboxer were great. That was his forte.

I watched Hard target a few days ago, after nearly 15 something years. It was cheesy, but still worth seeing

Hard Target wa a great movie - combined with the John Woo effects it was fun to watch if a bit corny. And obviously Kickboxer and Blood Sport are up there too.
