"Growing into a show"
« on: November 24, 2009, 09:29:49 AM »
How is this possible?

Seems like some of the old timers did it this way, as well as Levrone.

Are guys actually gaining muscle and losing fat at the same time?

You know they always claimed it was impossible but it really does seem sometimes like fat turns into muscle and vice versa.

levrone was app.210 off season, cruising at very low doses, then he explode up to 260, then he just cut carbs and hit the stage at 240ish, with a very timed extreme combo of anabolics of course  ;D

all carb timing

I think its that and the muscles are so depleted that they are storing more glycogen then usual when the carbs are added back.

I don't see what the problem is?  The people growing into a show are the same ones who are huge already just not offseason.  Take a guy like Levrone and cut the 6 meals a day to 2-3 and take out just about all the juice and he shrinks up 30 lbs and puts it back on when he eats and juices...All muscle memory.

Only people with great genetics and tight diet control 365 days/year can pull that off.

Muscle cannot turn into fat under any normal, healthy circumstances. Muscle cells do retain more water than fat.

Ive grown into a show before... i actually have pictures of the transformation on here somewhere. Your weight stays the same and your muscles grow as you diet. It most certainly is possible

Growing into a show = Staying off drugs with a maintenance or worse diet before the show. Then when show time comes around, u up the dose and eat a high protein diet........Then BOOM! muscle gains occur.....shouldn't be a suprise to anyone

Yup I know an old pro, he competes in Australia as an amateur now days. And he does just this.

You had to have had the muscle before and to most likely have held it for some time before been able to do this.

taking time off of juice and training.. loosing muscle cleaning body out.. loosing size then jump back on again.. muscle memory kicking in,plus the training causes this effect... ultimate factor is genes

I did that in my first shows, I was 205-210 offseason, and hit the stage around 205- or 210, actually pretty much the same weight, but lower BF levels of course and on anabolics. With the offseason I was clean with lots of junk food. just that I have a really fast metabolism and lean year round.

If I never trained I assume I would be 170 or so at 6 foot.
