most people who are "interested" into "bodybuilding" have serious psychological issues they need to compensate.  Absolutely all of em. Issues with their father, parents, family members, issues with the way they see themselves, with the way "other" people/men look... There is a very wide array of insecurities , some you couldnt even think of, that are covered by the practice of lifting weights (not all are related to homosexuality though).

bodybuilding= mostly repressed gay tendancies     

lifting weights= compensating for other kinds of psychological insecurities that may or may not be related to repressed homosexual tendancies

Hell, it was beaten to death 4 - 5 years ago and was tiresome to hear back then. I think Bodybuilding shows are very gay. I fully acknowledge that and I could never attend one again. even when i watch the Mr O or something...I'll look at a competitor's routine for about 20 seconds to see what i kind of shape he was in and then fast forward to the next competitor. i don't even bother looking at the also- rans. I'm just looking to see where the tops guys will place as to where I think they should place.

 I also think it should be old-school. Normal sized trunks, no music....just come out...hit the shots and you're done. When these guys start gyrating and pulling their trunks up their ass i get embarrassed that i follow the sport. Not even because it's gay....it's so fucking CHEESY to watch.

as a bodybuilder myself....i can appreciate the level that some of these guys achieve. there is nothing gay about it. And I also agree with you that the human body is a beautiful thing both male and female. it is amazing in it's design, and i can appreciate that in a completely non sexual way

A schmoe is someone who usually has well over 5000 posts/in less then 2 years on a site and is 20% bodyfat and over...Usually is a person that is well off or in sound economic standing and likes to show it off...Bows down to Arnold S. and even lives their own life as if they were him...Usually have some kind of pretend wife with minimal photos of her...Many times of a total different race then their own just to throw people off...

I watch maybe the Arnold Classic and the Olympia, but other than the first couple of callouts and the last few minutes of the contest where they announce the winners, don't really follow the whole thing closely - I'd rather read the comments here for a laugh and see pics.

It was interesting in the 90s when I was younger, but once the novelty factor wears off and the field becomes shallow, it's just not as engaging. That being said, I can see how and why others get a kick out of it and enjoy things like the individual posing rounds.

Agreed- Contests in general are too long, its very boring to see the same physiques over and over during a show, you pretty much know the winner and top 5 off the bat. Maybe thats why BB is losing its appeal?
