Straw - lets take you and me personally.  You work for yourself as do I by and large.  There is a reason why you and I both dont take stupid risks.  Its called being afraid of total loss and failure, etc, optherwise known as moral hazard. 

This govt, and started by GWB, took away moral hazard and are now rewarding the criminals to the point where all of our assets, future, treasure, etc ar egoing to prop up the worst part of the economy. 

You or I dont create systemic risk.  These thieves and criminals are doing the same thing now and we are heading for another collapse because we did not purge ourselves of the disease the first go around.

Our laws allowed AIG to sell unlimited amounts of credit default swap (unregulated insurance contracts) without ever having the capital to back them up which allowed banks to get around the reserve requirements under Basel II regulations.

Our laws allowed this to happen though I'm sure we could find  plenty of fraud if we had the political will but the same goes for alot of other crimes where the uber rich and powerful in this country are involved.

Look, we contributed trillions to propping this up.  I am certain the Fed gov could have set up a backstop through other banks to protect peoples' money without bailing out these disgusting vermin on Wall Street who feel they were entitled to a bailout and are getting massive bonuses for doing absolutely nothing.

This whole thing really seemed to be awful to me.  Just how GWB let Paulson do Tarp made me want to vomit.  Three pages!    WTF is that?  I probably type out at least 40 - 100 pages a day just in letters and correspodence.  And we are supposed to believe that TARP was properly done on three pages?  no record keeping, no accountability, nothing!

“I wanted to host this breakfast for a simple reason--because as busy as we are, as many tasks as pile up, during this season, we are reminded that there’s something about the resurrection--something about the resurrection of our savior, Jesus Christ, that puts everything else in perspective,” Obama told a group of Christian clergymen and government officials in a brief speech in the East Room.
