It's quite the claim to make that China didn't want to except anything but the scrap metal from Cash for Clunkers. I wonder where he found that info?

Well - you can find anyone to say anything nowadays.

As a fact check - how much salvagable metal is in your average car & how much could the US pay for that on the open market ?

Hyperinflation is a real risk - but it is not guaranteed by any means. It is rather depressing though.
