After being stuck at 49% for a week, President Obama has once again regained majority approval in Gallup Daily Tracking. He's at 51%. Most presidents who dip under 50% usuually regain majority approval in less than a month, President Obama managed to do it in a week. As the senate opens its HCR debate tommorrow and he rights the ship on the Afghanistan strategy in a nationally televised address (on all broadcast and cable networks) Tuesday at 8, these numbers should only go up. 56-57% by this time next Sunday I predict.

His disapproval is down to 40% as well.

Of course, CNN, ABC, CBS have him at between 53-56% so its not clear he ever lost majority approval but regardless he has it back.  (From DU)

MMmmm, just last week Fox had him at 46%, since they've been more consistant about EVERYTHING and exposing Obama and his cohorts for who they really are, doesn't surprise me one bit they would have a difference of almost 10%!

Admit it Rob, Obama is a fraud and a complete f-up. 99% of everything he's tried to do have wound up a disaster.

We can change this thread to "Is Obama a fraud and complete F-up" if ya want lol...

Gallup is the most consistent poll for decades - they showed Clinton in the shitter in 93, and had Bush looking real good after 911.  They're the benchmark for the industry.

And even with FOX having Obama at 46%.... still shows that roughly half the country likes the guys, despite all the BS he's pulling.

And a 'disaster'?  Depends who ya ask.  If you're a conservative, yes, he's trashing the place.  If you're a liberal, you like the guy... he got the stim, may get healthcare, etc.

240 is right. If Obama manages to get the health care bill through, that alone will make him a president we will remember.
Regardless if you like him or not, Obama has been able to get a lot of things his way.

even though there have been some big bumps, but he's getting things done.
we'll see about Guantanamo. He needs to deliver on that one as well.

That the policies are not liked by everyone is a different matter. Some people actually voted for McCain. You can't expect them to be super glad.

No, 50% isn't good.

But in my opinon, after the liberal shit salad he's been pushing for a year - the fact that half the country still loves the guy...

sheeit, that's gotta be scary for Repubs in 2012.

Somehow I get the feeling you think Obama is doing a pretty good job but you are a little too afraid to admit it because being called a 'liberal' would be the biggest nightmare for you.

Correct?8)

Wait till UE goes to 12.5% officially and people start losing their health coverage because of the insanity making its way through the Senate.

Obama will be lucky to get past his first term the way he is going.
