Don't go into the diet thinking "if I don't look good a couple of weeks out I'll drop out of the show". There is no pressure thinking this way and you won't push yourself. Once you commit, that's it, you will step onstage.

make sure he perfects his mind/muscle connection...and that drugs are on 1% of prep work.
