Yeah, but a big set of arms doesn't mean you are happy. I'd rather have an average physique but afford nice things, cars and holidays rather than having a big set of arms but working some bullshit 9-5 job and being just like everyone else, just with slightly larger arms.  ;)
No doubt about it...

when you cross paths in the street with a huge behemoth Caucasian muscle stud in the street you'll be reducing him in your head to how much money he may or may not have... good one... but he is the one getting all the attention... you'll get people kissing ass for some $$$... if they happen to know of your wealth...

this is to say you go down that path and are successful anyway...  :D

I understand what you are saying, but i tend to only agree if you were talking about having a physique like a pro. If your just talking about being bigger than most people fine, but whats more impressive to most people, a 19 inch arm or a Lamborghini?

Or just do what i'm trying to do.......have both.

Once your basic human needs are met, a lot more money doesn't equate to a lot more happiness. People tend to overestimate how much pleasure they will receive from having "more".. People are adaptable creatures (which can be a great thing in bad times or hard times,) but it is also a drawback when a wave of good fortune comes your way.

Going from poor to rich can create a quick thrill, but you will soon adjust to your new wealth and everything it buys you. If you want to know how to use the new money you have to make you happier, you have to understand just what it is that brings you happiness in the first place.

More money can help you find more happiness, as long as you know just exactly what you can and you can't expect from it.

Health, healthy relationships, hobbies, friends and family might be a good place to start.

getbig.......that's what i'm trying to do. But last time i checked i was smart enough to realise that dedicating my whole life to bb'ing wouldn't amount to much in the long run.

Please direct me to the disclaimer where it stated that in order to post here you must value muscularity over absolutely everything else. Thanks in advance.

No doubt about it...

We are all life's bitch. Nobody, especially Americans have life by the balls. Material wealth is man made, so what we judge ourselves by, is by the standards set by other men, who in turn set their standards by other men, and etc. This is not living a fulfilled life, it's sucking the cock of envitiblility . If we wish to change that, then you or I must seek happiness from within, and not give a fuck about if you have 50 mil or 500 mil, but you get up each day and you feel good, people say good things about you, and you can see your cock without moving your belly out of the way. When you die, people can always think of the postive and how you made them feel.

Men think if they strike it rich, that all their problems will disappear, the same with women landing a rich husband. And what happens, they find out that they are more miserable when they were broke or with a man who loved them right. There is no one solution. So people get that out of your heads! It must be Western thing, specifically a American thing, that there is one cure all for everything. I think it really shows how miserable we truly are and try  to mask it with material objects. And not willing to face the real problem, which is our society is rotten from the inside.

Well said. Problem is, most people are too materialistic, they think a bigger house, a fancier car, and a larger bank account is the key to happiness.  :-\ I don't know about other countries, but here in the U.S., people are consumed by it.

Exactly...

Gordiano, we live in a capitalist society. So keeping up with the Jones' is habit, no we start to realize that we are not just keeping with the Jones' material possessions (house, car, etc), but the Jones' debt as well. And this is the crux of what we are talking about. If the standard is 20 inch arms, and one doesn't achieve that, but focuses on that instead of school, relationships, money...but yet doesn't achieve that after 20 yrs, were they focused on the right things? Now what if he achieved the 20 inch arms, yet still non of the other things, what really has he achieved?

Once time I saw a really fat lady who had like 23-24 inch arms, and i thought, "why is it so easy for a fat person to have 23 inch arms, yet for a muscular person that i hard as hell/" Yes, of course I recognized it was fat, but soon realized, among other things, that it is hard work that one gets those gifts. Throughout nature the same is said.  It is un-natural to obtain things so easily, and when one does, one doesn't appreciate what one has, and abuses it, often losing it in the process.

Happines is a state of mind.

Money makes life better.

Still some people are grumpy, nervous and unhappy
no matter how much money they have, like some of my neighbours.

Running around with 20+inch arms can
look silly or even stupid in the modern world.

When I had plenty of money and a good physique
in a boring environment I was unhappy.

When I lost my physique due to an accident but still had plenty of money
I was unhappy.

Now in a good environment with money and a good physique I feel very, very
happy.

You need more than money,
you need the right state of mind.

Run around with big arms and nothing else would not cut it for me.
Nobody really cares about big arms.

If I had a permanent fat belly I would consider killing myself.

this is a Bodybuilding site.  It's not a Look at how much Money I have site or Look at all the famous people I know site, or even FaceBook or the like

here, we'd rather bag groceries at the local supermarket but have nineteen inch guns and be banging a hot chick, then have millions but a fifty inch waist to go with it

agree or disagree?

are you complain about the threads on this site ? I do not get your point.
