Faith, Family, Freedom: Remembering What Really Matters
 Today at 3:07am
________________________ _____________

My parents and I just had a wonderful time at “Hard Work U” – the school motto of College of the Ozarks. It earned that proud nickname because students there work their way through college and graduate with little or no debt. (In other words, a place after my own heart, and the hearts of others who worked their way through college and, like me, maybe took five years to finish because of work schedules!)

At tonight’s patriotic event at the college we heard some amazing personal stories of heroism and sacrifice by our military veterans in attendance, including members of our Greatest Generation, who we honored tonight. It was such an inspiration to hear their stories and affirm the principles that make this country great – faith, hard work, perseverance, patriotism, and public service.

All Americans need to hear from these true, proud patriots. May we never forget their fight for freedom. Their battles make the petty shots and irrelevant “challenges” some of us face today pale in comparison. I thank them for allowing us a healthy perspective and a reminder of what really matters.

- Sarah Palin

PS: Please enjoy the photos below from Arizona, New Mexico, and Missouri!

I graduated with a guy, who took 9 years to get his degree, due to a major illness that nearly cost him his life. He was in tears, after we marched and his parents were right along with him.

Even though it took longer for Palin to get her degree, at least she doesn't have tens of thousands of dollars of debt from student loans.

Then again, most don't have her looks and can't enter beauty paegants to earn scholarship money. Who knew potential presidental politics could be so pleasing to the eyes?

And who paid Obama's tuition?  No one ever answered that one either.

Its all timing Ozmo.  Right place and time, and anything can happen.

If the economy were humming along in 2008, Iraq not a mess and gas prices under control, do you think Obama would be prez?

Probably not.  The repubs would have likely won.  But your over the top criticism for Obama is stupid.  Who gives a rats ass if he paid for his Harvard education or not?  And comparing it to palin is also dumb.  Who gives a shit if she paid for hers?  I don't.  The voters won't care either.    I don't think she has a chance in 2012.  Palin has been spun by the media.  She's side show.

One of the talking points against her if the colleges she attended.  She did that so she could pay her own way without debt.

That's why i brought it up.

As far as Obama, the facts speak for themselves.   He is a completely disaster.  you would think in light of the climate gate stuff coming out he would gicve pause to pushing a massive tax scheme and raising energy prices.  What does he do instead?  Double down on stupid!

Today alone, the moron goes on camera wondering why businesses are not hiring and then accusing them of making profits!

WTF is wrong with this dunce?  Its his policies that keeping people from hiring anyone and he is either too arrogant, too ignorant, or worse, to realize it.  I speak with business people all day and most are absolutely appauled at this admn.

I disagree.  The jury is still out on him.  It's been less than a year.  We don't know the full impact of his policies for another year or so.  In the mean time, it's to easy criticize each little move of any president while in office.

Sarah Palin: Mr. President: Boycott Copenhagen; Investigate Your Climate Change "Experts"
Facebook ^ | 12-03-09 | Sarah Palin

Posted on Thursday, December 03, 2009 7:40:25 PM by euram

The president’s decision to attend the international climate conference in Copenhagen needs to be reconsidered in light of the unfolding Climategate scandal. The leaked e-mails involved in Climategate expose the unscientific behavior of leading climate scientists who deliberately destroyed records to block information requests, manipulated data to “hide the decline” in global temperatures, and conspired to silence the critics of man-made global warming. I support Senator James Inhofe’s call for a full investigation into this scandal. Because it involves many of the same personalities and entities behind the Copenhagen conference, Climategate calls into question many of the proposals being pushed there, including anything that would lead to a cap and tax plan.

Policy should be based on sound science, not snake oil. I took a stand against such snake oil science when I sued the federal government over its decision to list the polar bear as an endangered species despite the fact that the polar bear population has increased. I’ve never denied the reality of climate change; in fact, I was the first governor to create a subcabinet position to deal specifically with the issue. I saw the impact of changing weather patterns firsthand while serving as governor of our only Arctic state. But while we recognize the effects of changing water levels, erosion patterns, and glacial ice melt, we cannot primarily blame man’s activities for the earth’s cyclical weather changes. The drastic economic measures being pushed by dogmatic environmentalists won’t change the weather, but will dramatically change our economy for the worse.

Policy decisions require real science and real solutions, not junk science and doomsday scare tactics pushed by an environmental priesthood that capitalizes on the public’s worry and makes them feel that owning an SUV is a “sin” against the planet. In his inaugural address, President Obama declared his intention to “restore science to its rightful place.” Boycotting Copenhagen while this scandal is thoroughly investigated would send a strong message that the United States government will not be a party to fraudulent scientific practices. Saying no to Copenhagen and cap and tax are first steps in “restoring science to its rightful place.”

I'm not disagreeing with anything she said.  I'm only pointing out that what she said was common rhetoric.  The same crap every politician say while not in office and when they do get in office they don't follow through on it.  It's easy for her to sit and say "common sense" crap.  She's not dealing with congress and big business.

I was referencing her post on the Cimate Gate situation and the need to not double down on stupid like obama and his admn are doing on this issue.

Even if she did, the underlying evidence of alleged Climate Change is bogus and fraudulent.

The evidence having been exposed as being fraudulent, do you:

A) Take a step back and figure out what the real truth is?

or

B) Double down on stupid?

One set of e-mails from a few scientists doesn't equal mass fraud in the slightest.  There are thousands of climate scientists whose work you are discrediting because of a few e-mails which are mostly taken out of context.

I agree an investigation should take place but you are putting too much weight into those e-mails as if they are the only authority on the subject.  News for you.  They are not.  Being beholden to foreign oil is NOT a good idea and destroying our landscape for the last scrapes of a dying fuel source is NOT a good idea either.  Regardless of your stance on the climate change debate, those two things are not in Americas best interests going forward.  Cap and Trade may hurt those who continue to use large amounts of energy but that is their choice to make once this is in place.  Future Americans will thank Obama when they have cleaner energy and are not beholden to middle eastern oil and we haven't defaced our beautiful oceans and landscapes.

Not at all 333.  You are of the belief that your time on earth is more important than anyone elses and damn them for wanting to make you pay the REAL price for your actions.  This is just like food prices.  Corn syrup may be low and cheap but the overall cost to health is huge.  It's a cost not realized at the till but in the premature deaths and increase in diabetes and increasing burden on hospitals and doctors.  Same thing with oil, it may be cheap now but wait till it's all gone and we have no alternative's in place.  Then the real cost is realised.  But hey free stuff for 333!

Sounds to me like you are a closet communist here on a ruse, pretending to be anti-Obama whilst making plans and praying for the day we call Washington DC Obamagrad.
