I'm here.....anyway I'll post some quick observations.
I'm in Kirkuk....its where the Kurds and Arabs meet..they don't like each other but we're making it work. We've pulled back from all or most of the cities south of Bagdad and we're one of the last major areas where we're still in the city. AQ is pretty much done. We and the ISF..Iraq Security Forces still get IED's but the IED experts are long dead..and the IED's are usually inaffective. THE ISF has taken the lead in killing or capturing the shitbags and we're limited in acting alone. Only SOF can do what they want to do without permission or letting ISF know whats going on and most of their ops are with ISF SOF anyway. I live in a tin can..plenty of gyms and food is good but Afghanistan was better. Kid Rock was here yesterday and we got plenty of pics. I wake up to machine gun fire every morning..it adds to the ambiance. I'm headed to a IDP or refugee camp on monday, that should prove interesting. Neither the Kurds or Arabs are interested in seeing us leave despite what the Iraqi gov might say...their military would prefer us stick round...especially the Kurds....I will post some pics etc soon.
