Flex, thanks to Shawn Ray training got back into shape. He was 224 there. If he was a little sharper I would say he may have beaten his 93 conditioning. And after this Shawn was notgoing to train with him for the Mr O, Shawn said, why would I train my enemy, and I agree. Flex got mad with that. No wonder Flex messed his conditioning up, he knew he couldn't duplicate his 97 Asc conditioning for the 97 Mr O.

Mike Francois looks odd in some poses, Dillett looks good, Ronnie, well, he was always under rated back then, but he had a better back than Nasser, Francois, Dillett.

Mass ain't nothing without shape and cuts. By your standard, Greg Kovacs would have beaten both Flex and Nasser.

thx for these pics ND..

in all fairness nasser was better and more complete than flex in all front and side poses!!.. flex torso was narrow and his lats were small in comparison with nasser.. nasser killed him especially in the front lat spread and the abs/thigh as these 2 poses always exposed flex weakness.. as for rear shots I see that flex was much better in the rear double biceps and nasser was better in the rear lat spread..

I believe nasser also admitted in print that Yates deserved to win the O in 97. I think it was on muscular dev or some non weider mag. He also mentioned something about Shawn misunderstanding what he had said when the results were announced.
