I wonder though if something drastic happened, like our monetary system was bombed back to the stone age, all those 0's in a bank account would mean absolutely shit... when paper money (or stocks, bonds) have no legitimate value, what will some of these insanely rich people do? let's say there is a Armageddon type of scenario and there's only room to save 200,000 people in the world (obviously scientists, engineer's, teachers, etc.) what would some of these rich fucks do ?

They would go buy "Learn the way of the Yellow Bamboo, for Dummies", and see if they can obtain the powers of TK and pyrokenesis, and take over the world. Obviously, the rich would try to influence who and how said people would be picked, but they may resort to Yellow Bamboo methods.
