As punching goes, strength doesn't really matter.. but what happens when they start to wrestle? Mariusz is fuckin unbelievably strong and I could see him out muscle someone with a better technique.

Some fighting background plus that immense strength isn't gonn amake him a Fedor-esque champ, but i imagine it'll be enough to see him beating run of the mill fighters. With a bit more fight experience, who knows.

No athletic commision, no test.  Good thing he is fighting a hand picked can.  The minute he steps up in competition, he will be meat.  If he is serious about MMA, he will have to abandon strongman training and train specifically for MMA.  If he can get good takedowns, he would be a beast.  His striking is slow, stiff, and has him breathing heavy.

Well...big, strong and athletic guys were not doing too badly in the last Ultimate Fighter series. His strength is better as a sub defense than an offence. However he is all arm punches and does not seem to generate too much power despite his strength

you're right his punching is not particularly impressive, but the breathing heavy bit i sympathise with him on, he's a big guy, it takes a lot more juice to keep swinging when you're that size. He's just gonna have to hope his fights dont last long.
