My present GF is hot by measure, a hockey fanatic, and is now after I taught her to shoot, a gun nut.  Her parents are pissed off at me for that, but so what?   ;D

She still is not keen on hunting, but i'm working on her on that.

Me personally, I dont need any more excitement of the big city.  I have been here my whole life and am ready for a change.

I guess you can say maybe that is why I like Palin so much.  She represents to me the opposite of what i am used to.

I am used to pushy, jappy, nasty city dwellers who are really POFS all the way around.  At the other end, I have to make sure I have my G26 on me, checking corners, making suire shit it locked up, and I am ready for self defense all the time.  I'm getting nickle and dimed by the govt every second, dealing with people for whom english is a third language all the time, etc.

You actually stike me as the person who ends up in Alaska.  But you might want to try Wyoming or Montana as a steping stone but up to you.  Lots of people who are sick of it all here end up in Alaska.  If you're going for the extreme, go for it.  You can actually choose what level you want to live at there, wild as fuck or a little more city.

333, you know, I think the taxi driver comments about you are valid and even more so because you recognise it and say "hell yea this is me."  Maybe you really should consider getting out of there.  PM me, if I can help out in some way I will...  Opinons on places or whatever.

dude, there can't possibly be a large mountain range worth mentioning there.  You come out to the rockies and you'll see what mountains are,

I'll go as far as saying it's impossible he learned that in an American School.

I won't. While it's unlikely this has ever been taught in an American public school, it could very well have been taught in a private one. there are certain curriculae that must be met, ...outside of that, ...especially in a private school... anything can be taught, and any subject delved into with greater depth & scope than may exist elsewhere.

I can tell you the subject matter, the depth, scope, and general attitudes differ from one school to the next.
Kids are not taught the same things in Jarvis Collegiate that they are in Upper Canada College. Teachers & curriculae will often focus on technical or vocational courses in one area, while another school may focus more heavily on academia.

Quote
It's only been in the 90's that this became a question and only very few people have brought it up.  It was easy to call BS on that claim from Samson.

You're kidding yourself Hugo. It may have only been since the 90's that you first got wind of it, ...but people have been discussing this for years. Maybe not in YOUR social milieu.

Quote
I wish he had not said it because as I said, the actual topic is interesting and really does deserve debate and looking into.  It is fascinating.  I love America and consider myself a patriot.  I want the best for America and I always debate with that in mind.  As such I'm always interested in the truth.  I honestly believe the absolute truth will... well, I guess set us free...  whatever, I persue the truth but have an absolute faith in America.

I also believe that we can easily withstand errors and learn from them to become stronger.  I really believe that's a hidden design by the founding fathers.  That we may, as a society, face wrongs and right them through the process designed and come out all the better.  But it requires that we be willing to scrutinize and be a patriot simulationsly.

It also requires the ability to truly see yourselves and what you have become. That's something many if not most Americans are unable to do... no matter how willing they may be. The lies are too far ingrained, and to erase the program, and input a more accurate set of data would be too traumatic. Faced with the truth, most would prefer to ignore it or pretend that the truth was the lie. The truth poses too much of a threat to their ordered existence and the realization that something you knew to be true was in fact a lie... leaves too much room to question EVERYTHING they know to be true, or that they hold dear. It's too much of a mind fvck for most.
