Is it only me that think the old myth, eat every 2-3 houer is just bullshiet!  Do u drive to the petrol station to twice a day just to fill up 1/5 of your gas tank?
Stupid comparrison , if you used your car more of course it would need more fueling , if not running it doesnt need fuel.

it's still a myth, there is really no scientific evidence that eating more frequently benefits body composition

Wrong , it heightens metabolism "if" correct foods are taken in throughout the day and coupled with an intense exercise routine.

Its a accepted fact that 6 or more smaller meals spread throughout the day are better than 3 large meals or in some cases 2 large feasts.

How can it be accepted fact when every scientific study proves the exact opposite?

Donnie Thompson changed from 6+ meals a day to 2 Epic feasts in order to gain more weight but he is a powerlifter

Just some of the studies:

- Bortz WM, et al. Weight loss and frequency of feeding. New England Journal of Medicine, Feb 17, 1966; 274: 376-379.

- Young CM, et al. Metabolic effects of meal frequency on normal young men. Journal of the American Dietetic Association, Oct, 1972; 61: 391-398.

- Sudha Wadhwa P, et al. Metabolic consequences of feeding frequency in man. American
Journal of Clinical Nutrition, Aug, 1973; 26: 823-830.

- Dallosso HM, et al. Feeding frequency and energy balance in adult males. Human Nutrition.
Clinical Nutrition, 1982; 36C: 25-39.

- Verboeket-van de Venne WP, et al. Effect of the pattern of food intake on human energy
metabolism. British Journal of Nutrition, Jul, 1993; 70: 103-115.

- Arnold LM, et al. Effect of isoenergetic intake of three or nine meals on plasma lipoproteins and glucose metabolism. American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, Mar, 1993; 57: 446-451.

A more recent study even suggests a slight advantage of 1 meal a day on body composition:

- K. Stote, D. Baer, K. Spears, et al. A controlled trial of reduced meal frequency without caloric restriction in healthy, normal-weight, middle-aged adults. Am J Clin Nutr, Apr, 2007; 85: 981-988.

Small meals and cholesterol
Study shows that frequent meals can lower cholesterol
Is it possible that eating more frequently can lower your cholesterol?

A study published in the British Medical Journal found that people who ate six small meals each day had an average cholesterol level that was five percent lower than those who ate only one or two big meals each day. The study, conducted at the University of Cambridge, found that eating more frequently also lowered levels of artery-clogging LDL cholesterol.

Researchers aren't exactly sure why their cholesterol was lower, but eating throughout the day may put you at a metabolic advantage, keeping energy sustained throughout the day and avoiding large blood sugar fluctuations.

Stupid answer. I don't talk about how much gas u need I'm talking about how much gas u fill it with at the gas station. Same thing when u eat, why stop before u are filled? Load your stomach to the max and then u have energy for 6 houers minimum. Instead of eat small portions every 2-3houer. Let me illustrate that for u :D

Links? Actualy I wont bother with your links , your "scientific studys" can be twisted to show you can diet on junk food which in the real world is bullshit without a very fast metabolism or with the use of drugs..I could give you just as many links to show you smaller more frequent meals are better , but i wont waste energy as I know its correct and its the best way in the real world

Even the medical dieticians advise smaller more frequent meals ...the simple fact is this type of food set up works in the real world,in prehistoric days when you didnt have access to food as in you ate when a "kill" came along etc you stored bodyfat in higher amounts , if you eat 1 -2 big meals a day your body stores it as bf and slows the metabolism down to meet energy expenditure requirements for its daily tasks.

not true. many small meals dont stoke metabolism compared to fewer and larger meals. science clearly shows this.

personally i weigh 124kg and eat 3-4 meals per day

two meals  a day essentially made of proteins and slow acting carbs (tuna, chicken, eggs, steak , noodles, rice, potatoes). And i eat junk food inbetween, or fruits (fast acting carbs).

If you have links to scientific studies on body composition, I would be interested (I already posted some). The ones I know of all come to the same conclusion. And scientific studies are always real world studies, they just have the advantage of control. Metabolism is somewhat dependent on total caloric intake, but not on meal frequency.

Anybody can easily get ripped on "junk" food in the real world, without the use of any drugs.

I need to eat every 3 hours. I eat mostly very clean however I also need to eat junk at least once a day or else i have nothing in me to burn and i can't get to sleep.

If i overate maybe i could only eat 2-3 times a day but i would feel like shit from overeating and also put on excess fat. If the body is constantly being fed it has no reason to hold excess fat because it knows it's next meal is coming soon.

Then again i have a very fast metabilism and have been eating 5-6 meals a day, every day, for 14 years. Maybe if i was used to eating just 2-3 i would be stuck on that.

thats not correct at all. your not gonna get fatter by eating fewer larger meals compared to more frequent smaller meals if everything else is same.

LOL I rest my case..considering "most" of those studys are totaly outdated coupled with the fact how many are directed toward people like us here on GB wanting to be in shape with lower bf to higher muscle ratio or improved strentgh and performence , even the average jo wanting to lose a bit of BF and retain muscle would totaly fall over on a rubbish diet like the ones in the above studys.
Again science should be taken as a GUIDE only as it does not transfer over to real worlds results a large percent of the time. ::)

Your stomach wasn't built to digest +1000 kcal at once. You don't need any science for that, just listening to your gastrointestinal tract 'says' enough.

you dont need to eat every 3 hours..you simply have made your body used to it....you could get un-used to it in a few days if you wanted too.

and the clean vs junk food discussion is kinda silly...and i seen no reason to seperate cleans vs junk food as long as you don't go to any extremes.

i was using that as an example see my other post above where i state that for someone like most here on GB looking for a lower bf higher muscle ratio or enhanced performence smaller more frequent eating is better than 2 - 3 larger meals a day.
