For the celebration of the 75th Anniversary of Muscle Beach, a historic time capsule was buried on December 13, 2009. The time capsule included memorabilia, pictures, DVD’s and books that acknowledge the work and dedication of many individuals to health and fitness. Here are some pics from the ceremony.
Santa Claus and his four elves also were there for the kids (and some of the adults), and arrived on a sled with a full police escort. A truckload full of toys for the kids who won't be getting anything otherwise was there and fully loaded up, which was great.
MLB Hall of Famer Johnny Bench was there too (14 time All Star player), and all had a good time.
