His UFC contract is for $300k + incentives (fight of the night, KO of the night, Submission of the night etc, plus a percentage of the PPV) what he did, despite his "retirement" was only put the fight on hold. He made more money with the movie than he would have by fighting. His per diem alone was $2500.00 per week for the movie. Now that he's done filming this month (I said this before) he will move back with his wife and kids and then start preparing for the fight. So, to reiterate, he didn't back out, he put it on hold.
