Explosive Situations
There are some volatile circumstances that readers need to be aware of today. They are mentioned only briefly in the news but are very significant:
-- Iran test-fired it Sajjil long-range missile yesterday. It is capable of carrying a nuclear warhead. It has a range which enables it to strike Israel, Turkey and Eastern Europe. Israel will not sit still for this. Guaranteed.
-- University of Utah geologists have mapped a plume of magma coming up to the Yellowstone caldera volcano. This contradicts other reports that say there is only hot rock and water underneath Yellowstone. The plume is 410 miles deep and confirms what I have been saying for years--an eruption is likely.
-- University of Washington scientists have discovered that a megathrust quake could strike closer to Seattle than previously thought. The locked area of the Juan de Fuca plate on the central coast of Washington actually slides down further east and is near the metropolitan area of Seattle. More "silent" quakes have been discovered recently which are episodic and could translate to further pressure building up. The megathrust quake will rival or surpass the 2004 quake in Indonesia and the Alaska quake of 1964.
