1.  Has the constitution been brought to an end or abolished?

Not in the literal sense of course, but have they ignored the guidlines set forth in the constitution? Hell yes.

2.  Do we no longer operate as a republic based on the constitution?

Of course we do, but as you can see, the liberals are trying their best to change that. They ignore the constitution.

3.  No more bill of rights?  No more 3 branches of government?  etc...

To my knowledge, it's perfectly constitutional for the government to invest in private companies.  In fact, the government buys stock in financial institutions.

I don't think they do.  I think they think the same thing I do for the most part.  She is a joke as a presidential candidate.  That doesn't mean I/we hate or fear her and I'm betting others that mock her as a presidential candidate don't hate her but just feel she's a joke for the prospect.  Anything other than president, she seems like a fine woman.  It's not her time imo.  She just doesn't have the time and knowledge in to be president.  She struggles with so many basic questions.  As VP, she was struggling with questions that people on this board would comfortably address.  She needs more time.  She needs to have a voice of her own.  Right now she comes across as a voice solely provided by advisers.  Last thing we need is another Manchurian candidate.  We just had two in a row for sure.

As far as I know, they haven't taken over any company.  The public is now the majority stakeholder in that shitty company, so we do have a say in who runs it and what the pay should be.

They should've let them file bankruptcy and undergone a forced reorganization.  I don't want anybody to lose their job, but we can't just keep floating a company that consumers don't want.  Taking the route the government took, IMO will cost more jobs down the road because the changes are going to be that more radical.

What is the constitution?  

It is a set of laws/rules for governing?  Or is it a set of suggestions and implications?

The USA has been forcing people to re-distribute their hard earned money ever since they first taxed them some 200 years ago.  So complaining about taxes as they go up and down as they have been forever is moot.  We all knew, taxes would go up.  Even if a conservative was in the white house.  BUSH sr. even said in his campaigning that taxes weren't going to go up and he raised them too!

Also, if you read the posts on this thread no one has shown where it's "against" the constitution to do these things with GM and such.  Read Skip's posts.  Can you show me where's it's against it?  I've been asking.
