She stated that there were no Al Qaida in Iraq pre-invasion.
Whether she's right or not, I don't know.
But USA didn't go into Iraq based on the premise that Al Qaida was there.
The reason - that the Bush administration had "supposedly" intel saying that Iraq had Weapons of Mass destruction.
Despite the inspectors from IAEA not finding any.
If you recall, Colin Powell argued that there were evidence in a speech at the UN HQ.
So not even the Bush Administration ever claimed they started a war on Iraq because of Al Qaida.
jaguar may actually be correct on this one, as I've never seen any proof of Al Qaida being in Iraq pre-invasion.
