Bodybuilding

What should the IFBB do to make it more main stream. I know Chcik has said (which I agree), Athletes need to be more animated, lively etc. I know guys are carb depleted and have the mentality of "get the F' out of my face"...

What else?

that carb depelted non sense is just an excuse for them to be whiny attention babies,,, oh look at me I dieting for a show,,, i'm so drained,,, can't do anything,,, blah blah...  people like that are really jerks but they use the carb depleted diet line as cover... if this is what you choose to do,,, be professional and don't complain or use excuses....  you'll never hear that from people that really love and live the sport.... just people that are all drugs with no foundation,,, and think they're bodbybuilders cause they diet,,, weigh out chicken  ::) and juice...  even if they compete.
thats a rant right there. lol

What should the IFBB do to make it more main stream.

don't know about mainstream, but how to get more people interested in pro competitions:  encourage the top athletes to enter more contests.   only the winner of the contests goes to the olympia.  maybe a point system for an at large invite.

what you say?  Pros can't get into that kind of conditioning multiple times a year?  find a level of conditioning where they can.  grainy skin should not be a criteria for an ideal physique.

Mainstream/general public thinks "bodybuilders" are narcisistic self centered egocentrical closet homos with either or both short man and short dick syndrom, and that everything related to weight lifting, the gym and the "bodybuilding" attitude is just plain pathetic, laughable and automatically makes you an insecure brainless loser.

I as a "weight lifter" for what, 10 years now, came to the same conclusion. 9 people out of 10 interested in building "more muscle" or lifting weights are complete nutjobs who try to compensate for either one or several psychological shortcomings. The "health" part is just an argument to try to justify why you're obsessed with your appearance. Most people who lift weights are unhealthy psychologically speaking or physically speaking anyway.

Once you get your issues in order you almost feel no interest anymore in getting "bigger" "wider" "heavier" and spending time with losers who didnt overcome their own issues. Your obsession with yourself, your "strenght", your physical appearance  decreases and you focus on more fulfilling things in life that really truly matters to your own survival.
Most of the time it's because people have a low self esteem and a flawed perception of themselves and/or others, that they get into "body building" believing it will cure all their insecurities magically. They ALL end figuring out it's not the way it works.
