I was raised in a muslim household, and for the longest time I really practiced the religion, regular prayers, fasting during ramadan, attending mosque, etc.
But my views about islam (and all organized religions in general) has really changed in the last 3 years. The more and more I read, the more contradicting and fucked up shit seemed, so I stopped practicing everything all together, and really just don't believe in it anymore. I'm not so sure if I even believe god really exists or not,
and to be honest ever since I stopped practicing I feel SOOO MUCH BETTER about myself and my life, and I believe I'm actually a BETTER person since I've stopped, (less judgemental, etc)
So many wars, fights, arguments, battles, have been caused by religion, even by the same religions such as islam with the Sunnis VS Shiite, - it all just doesn't seem right, and I'm very glad I don't associate myself with it anymore. Maybe I'm still a muslim by tradition, and the way I was raised, but it stops there and I just don't believe in it anymore!
