Kepp up, even the left bias polls show it.

the left is opposed to the current HCR bill because it doesn't go far enough:  No public option, no medicare buy-in, no drug re-importation, etc.  The poll numbers for Obama are down because the left feels he's not doing enough, not willing to stand up to corporate interests, too willing to cave at the right.    if he wants his base to show up on election day in 2010, he better start becoming the radical the right claims he is.

POLL RELEASED TODAY.. abc, rasmussen, cnn, fox, zogby and the list goes on all show a 60% (give or take 3% points) of opposition to the universal health care and this bill.. so it is not a "fox" poll.. even new york times poll (as liberal as you can get) shows the same the other day..

"As the Senate prepares to vote on health care reform, American voters "mostly disapprove" of the plan 53 - 36 percent and disapprove 56 - 38 percent of President Barack Obama's handling of the health care issue, according to a Quinnipiac University poll released today.

While voters oppose the health care plan, they back two options cut from the Senate bill, supporting 56 - 38 percent giving people the option of coverage by a government health insurance plan and backing 64 - 30 percent allowing younger people to buy into Medicare."

again, many oppose it because it doesn't go far enough

If it went any further it would be total socialism. How much more do you want the government to interfere Tim? Would you be happy if they controlled everything? Like I said, they don't care about the polls or people they just want the power, if they gave a shit they would have taken this to the people and made it available to read. Another thing, this bill is exempt to people in congress, why is that? And if it were such a great bill why do they have to bribe other members to vote for it? Transparency my ass, this is easily the most corrupt administration in the history of the United States bar none.

Give it a break Joe...This bill would easily pass in the Democratic majority House.

The true test on bills like this is in the Senate and it appears that it will pass there with a filibuster proof majority.

Probably not but that's the Senate side. I am sure Nelson has received some sort of kick back and sold his soul for the almighty dollar.

My point is a bill like this would have no problem passing through the cluster fuck that is the House of Representatives.

No Fox? That was about the network that wasn't apart of the state ran media! Doesn't help to complain anyway, look at the health care bill, the american people got shut out even though more than 60% opposed it. Thank God Pelosi and Ried will be out next year.

if medicare is ok for people over 65, why isn't it ok for people over 55?  Seniors aren't required by law to use medicare, but they have the option to.  If they can get affordable insurance on their own, or if they want to pay for medical care out of their own pocket, they have an option to use a government managed plan.  So why not allow other people to buy into medicare?

with respect to making back room deals with big pharma, I agree.   the only reason to prevent re-importation of pharmaceuticals is to protect the profits of corporations.

Let me see.  Ted Turner who owns Time Warner  is a major democrat and Obama surporter.  Fox news is the only news net work that will critisice Obama, Palosi, Frank and Biden.  Any connection? Nahhhhh

Ted Turner sold Turner Broadcasting to TW in 1996.  He stepped down as vice chairman of TW in 2006.

liberals arent making a dent in this bill as far as the negatives polling.. lets be honest.. liberals (although i very noisy bunch) are very much a minority.. the damage to the polls is the fact that most moderates and independents dont like this bill.. the way the bill is now it is nothing but a money maker to the gov as this bill does not kick in for many years but, the taxes to pay for it do immediately.. it is 1/6 of the economy.. and the dems want it.. this bill as it stands does little and costs alot.. the dems liketo say that the cbo said that it will help pay down the deficit.. that is not entirely true.. wants the bill kicks in it will cost the deficit.. can you believe we have become a nation that will fine you 750 dollars if you dont have health insurance?? also ask your self this.. why, if public opinion is so against this bill, are they pushing it..?

as posted above

56 - 38 percent support giving people the option of coverage by a government health insurance plan, 64 - 30 percent support allowing younger people to buy into Medicare.

people want health care reform.  our current system is unsustainable.  the current bill is a give-away to the insurance and pharmaceutical industries.

I don't have time to listen to Rush, Hannity or Levine. This is plain old commonsense. I don't think anyone is in disagreement that we need somekind of reform, but this idiotic!

Joe, here you go again with your pathological lies. We both know a republican majority would not have done a damn thing to reform health care if they were in power.

What will the new health care bill give us taxpayers? Higher taxes?
