Time Warner to drop FOX 11 ???
« on: December 22, 2009, 07:39:56 PM »
So I was ambling through this rag they call "LA Times" with my morning coffee..... and right in the middle of the main section is a full page glossy ad for FOX 11 saying:

                                                 ATTENTION!

STARTING JANUARY 1ST, TIME WARNER CABLE MAY STOP CARRYING FOX 11 !!!

(Then across pics of the News cast, Americon IDOL, the NFL, House, 24, The simpsons and various top TV shows it shouts)

                                             NO FOX? NO WAY!

KEEP YOUR FOX 11! CALL 866-KEEP-FOX (866-5337-369)

OR GO TO keepFOX on.com and vote to keep FOX on Time Warner cable.

Now I am not sure about your area's  ....but Time Warner is the only cable server in LA and I'd be spitting mad if they take away MY free right to watch FOX 11.....  We are not in Communist China nor North Korea???

Thoughts?  Grant.

i doubt that obama had much to do with it.. his approval ratings are on the way down.. and if health care gets past the house and senate combined bill it will drop further based on the fact that the majority of americans do not want it.. at least not this bill in this fashion.. fox news is highest rated news show on the market.. wonder what would be the deal..

TIME WARNER CABLE LAUNCHES “ROLL OVER OR GET TOUGH” CAMPAIGN

Time Warner Cable Inc. (NYSE: TWC) today (11/25) announced that it has launched a multi-faceted campaign, on behalf of its customers, targeting unfair price demands by programmers.

Increasingly, when contracts come up for renewal, programmers – those who operate broadcast and cable networks and create television content – are asking for incredible price hikes for their content, at times as much as 300% increases.  Programmers make these demands of cable companies and other video distributors, secure in the knowledge that video distributors are the ones who have to pass those costs along to customers and take the blame.

Where is the evidence that Obama caused them to drop this local channel?

My comcast in FL dropped a lot of local channels in 2008.  it wasn't bush's fault, it was about $.

No Fox? That was about the network that wasn't apart of the state ran media! Doesn't help to complain anyway, look at the health care bill, the american people got shut out even though more than 60% opposed it. Thank God Pelosi and Ried will be out next year.

Nancy Pelosi represents one of the most liberal districts in the country, she isn't going anywhere.

She and Reid are going to get pushed right out of their seats, even the liberal base is turning against them. Shit, not that it really matters but even ultra lib commie Danny Glover is turning against Obama and his administration.
