Apologize to no one.

Remind those of our sacrifice and don't confuse arrogance with leadership.
If I added correctly the count is 104,366 dead.
And we have to watch an American elected leader who apologizes to Europe and the Middle East that our country is "arrogant"!
HOW MANY FRENCH, DUTCH, ITALIANS, BELGIANS AND BRITS ARE BURIED ON OUR SOIL, DEFENDING US AGAINST OUR ENEMIES?
WE DON'T ASK FOR PRAISE ... BUT WE HAVE ABSOULUTELY NO NEED TO APOLOGIZE!!

This is what is wrong with America. What does apologizing for errors have to do with our soldiers fighting in world wars?  What our soldiers did and continue to do deserves the upmost respect, but to think that because we have fought and died in world wars we are above reproach is just wrong.

Ok--

So tell me. What did America do recently that is wrong-- or better yet, that every other country hasn't done, or that wouldn't do if they were us?

You want to knock the Iraq war? Fine. I didn't support it either, but I have a hard time trying to locate any specific harm the war caused that wasn't there already. The whole war for oil argument is utter nonsense, Saddam is dead and buried along with his sons, and the country has the opporunity to be a democracy. Beyond that, what else should we be apologizing for? Having a high standard of living?

The point is that the rest of the world complains while we put in the work-- we are the ones who constantly come to the rescue of everyone else and nobody gives us anything in return except complaints and hogwash about American arrogance.

When the rest of the planet starts apologizing for it's wrongs, America should apologize as well.

Personally, I think invading Iraq and the irresponsible aftermath was wrong.   However, we don't have to apologize to anyone outside the USA for that, because we did dispose of Hussain in the process.   Aside, from that, I don't see why we have to apologize to european countries for anything.  With out us they would be all speaking German or Russian.  Most likely Russian.

Amazing a whole page of people who just about get it. Sickie this shit. We keep our thumbs in the dyke of stupidity...yes u can easily argue that we can't afford it anymore but it may or in my mind WILL cost us more in the future. Without stability we won't have markets. I want us to pull out of Iraq....or atleast stop the spending to prop them up. They are at a 90% solution and will have to work their own way to get a totally stabilized country. I think many of u would be sick at how much money we spend on these people and they still have their hands out. My unit will be the last Combat BDE out of Iraq, which will leave the AAB's or advisory and assistance BDE's to continue to help the Army and Police. If the elections and transition of power go well or even just ok..we're gone. We are transferring 180 MRAPS per month over to Afghanistan. Thats where the war is.
