it is the gosh darn truth folks.  They aren't drilling now off caspian/afghanistan, but in 20 years when saudis and iraqis tell us to piss off, they sure might be.  We'd be very wise to keep that backup stash for our own use down the road.  Dubya was right on this one, and it's only a few that deny oil doesn't play into it.  bases do as well.
