the "become a guru" program... made simple
« on: December 25, 2009, 01:39:25 PM »
Here I will outline an easy plan to make anyone with a decent level of intelligence and reading comprehension to become a "Bodybuilding Guru". MIlos Sarcev, Hany Rambod, Chad nicholls, Gerge farah, ect...all make thousands of dollars by telling peoples what to eat, what to take, and how to train. You can too! And ill tell you how.

Buy and read front to back the following books= Anabolics 2009, Chris Aceto Championship bodybuilding, The Poliquin Principles, and Strength Training Anatomy.  these books will outline the effects and uses of all different types of bodybuilding drugs, the effects of the different macronutrients and how to eat best for fat loss and muscle gain, the proper way to train, how to diagnose the cause of platues and bust through them, and everything else you will ever need to know.

I think guru is just code for steroid dealer.  Anyone who does any sort of workout with weights and uses enough gear should be able to build a good body.

But nice post Tbombz, I will have to check out some of those books.

Everybody is a "guru" these days.

I can't go into a single gym or talk to a single meathed without hearing them discuss who is "dieting who" and who so and so is going to hire for their next show.

I know dudes in the gym who charge people anywhere from $250-$1000 for contest-prep counseling and they never even have ever walked onto a stage a day in their lives.  It's madness.

All you have to do is quote something you read in a FLEX Magazine and pretend to sound knowledgeable and you will probably get someone who will want to give you money for you to say to them...

"..for breakfast eat 6 egg whites and 1/2 cup of oatmeal "

" ..do 20 minutes of cardio after your workout "

It's such a crock of shit. Bodybuilders are the dumbest motherfkers on Earth, I swear!

Intelligently stated, T!

Based on many years of actual (and somewhat successful experience with pros and amateurs alike), I tend to agree with you but in my time, even that wasn't necessary and I still tend to think that what most of these "authors" have to say is "complete bullshit".

BUT ...... Remove the "BS", you'd end up with a three page pamphlet which would be difficult to sell for $29.95

I was once a damn successful GURU but the roid situation rapidly surpassed my limited knowledge of the subject.

Nowadays I simply leave that part of the equation up to someone else, while I simply stick with basic math.

I totally agree with Blockhead too but not the part where the Block says that "Bodybuilders are the dumbest motherfkers on Earth."

That's simply the easy way of describing something that is much more complicated.

Nicely done. Maybe I was a bit too harsh but the point I was aiming for was how easy it is to get a physique competitor to to throw cash at anybody who is able to say...

" ..just go with the winstrol the last 6 weeks. It won't cause fluid retention and the pure anabolic effects of it will keep your muscle intact while you bring your calories down more. " without bursting out in laughter.

It's funny. I've seen guys who are self-proclaimed gym gurus go to local show dressed in suits as they pass out their 'buisness cards' to competitors or whoever they think is a competitor. Dorks!

first off let me say thank you alex and those with kind words. id like to see the phonies like milos and author l rea and palumbo be exposed as crocks and pretenders. the authors of these books here are true experts in their feilds. although i would note that acerto is a nutrition expert and poliquin a training expert..and to only follow their advices in those areas.

I still tend to think that what most of these "authors" have to say is "complete bullshit".

99% of the time thats absolutely the truth!!  but i picked these books because they are dead on accurate, purely fact. and they are written by true experts, people highly educated and who are objective and not egotistically tryin to make ythemselves appear as superior or intelligent, but people who are truthsayers and spread the facts and science, not the fallacies and halftruths and broscience perpetuated by those who are now considered the "gurus" of the sport.

To really establish a following you also need to sound enigmatic, like you have some occult knowledge no one else does. Secrets. Poliquin is one example of a guru who knows this, which is why he sounds crazy nowadays. A connection for some hard-to-get gear will help tremendously as well.

L Rea is the worst of the bunch by far. The others don't even come close. A total fraud, yet someone who understands psychology, which is why he's gotten somewhat of a following.

Caloric deficit + protein + training + drugs + maybe a little carb/water/sodium manipulation.
There you have it, all you need to know about contest prep.

The rest is about selling useless supplements.

I'm here, like always.  :D

I really don't like Rea, starting from his fake name, to his supplements, to his ridiculous cycle theories (overcomplicated shit to make it sound like the dude really knows something).

Don't forget the psychological aspect of contest prep. Having a trainer or guru or whatever can definitely help, even if there's no groundbreaking stuff they know which you yourself don't.
