CHRISTIANS STUNNED THAT AN ORNAMENT OF MAO ZEDONG HANGING ON THE WHITE HOUSE CHRISTMAS TREE

If these reports are true, President Obama has shown a profound disrespect for Christianity and the message of the Christ-child which was heard so loudly on Christmas morning; "Peace on earth, goodwill toward man."

Both organizations are calling for the ornament to be removed and an apology to be issued by the White House to all people of faith, Christians and the Chinese people, many of whom are still in prison because of Mao's policies.

So the fact that our president apparently has a Mao fetish is no big deal to you?

You dont worry about the economic destruction Obama is causing or much else other than finding fox clips or palin news, so I thought you might be worried about this.

Ok so barry didn't decorate the tree...some asshole from his staff did, and thought a Mao ornament was a good idea. I have no idea if its true but why would that surprise anybody if it was. He's a worthless douchbag.

Palin is still the top repub contender for 2012.  This ornament isn't gonna run for prez in 3 years.

These groups said nothing about anything else... but you allow an ornament, and they're crying suddenly.

Bullshit.  She's completely unelectable.  She's been attacked and smeared (rightly and wrongly).  And quitting her job when things got really tough makes her even more unappealing.  Her most helpful role for 2012 would be supportive, such as fundraising.

She's still at 20% on intrade.com, along with Pawlenty and Romney.

And she is the most recognizable repub (mccain being too old to run now, and W with his two terms already).

I'm a registered repub (many here forget that) and Bush got my vote twice, Dole once.  I was very disappointed when the GOP failed to put 2 qualified candidates on the ballot in 2008.  (Cue people to say Biden's 30 years in senate or Obama's law degree were inadequate... as if defending one turd is any defense to this Barr 2008 voter).

exactly - it's all the stuff she's done to herself (her own words and her own actions) that have made her a complete joke

She didn't want the "lame duck" term spoil her legacy, that's why she quit.. :P

"the term RINO mean anything to you 240? maybe thats why ppl forget on here"

The majority of republican primary voters (typically the most far-right of the bunch) selected a "RINO" in Mccain.

So does this mean the majority of republican voters are, in fact, repubs in name only?

No, youre changing the subject tony.

In the repub primaries, Republican voters rejected the far-right candidates and chose a RINO.  It wasn't anything about obama - they had plenty of good repubs to choose and it came down to 75% of the candidates being RINOs in the final 4 (Rudy, Romney, mccain, and huck).

Repubs wanted a RINO.  It would have been Romney otherwise, and he was a national healthcare, anti-gun, pro-amnesty lib too.

yep - and after getting their ass handed to them in the last election the people running the party decided the "problem" was that they weren't far enough to the right and now we've got the fringe element basically running the party and the moderates have nowhere to go.

I'm saying the registered Republican voters ignored centrist and far-right repubs.

They let it come down to a 4 guys - and 3 of them had huge history of lib voting.

They picked a RINO.  I don't think ANYONE considered Romney "Far right".
